Week 9 of the 2024 NFL season is in the books. Hopefully, your team pulled out the victory. However, the only easy win was last week’s win. So, let’s look at the top streaming quarterback options for Week 10.

Streaming Targets in 1QB Leagues
Tua Tagovailoa (MIA) vs. Los Angeles Rams (42.8% Rostered)
Tagovailoa has played well since returning from a concussion, completing 80.3% of his pass attempts. The veteran quarterback has averaged 232.5 passing yards, 1.5 touchdowns, and 16.1 fantasy points per game over the past two weeks. More importantly, he is coming off his best performance in 2024, completing 89.3% of his pass attempts, totaling two touchdowns, and 17.5 fantasy points against a talented Buffalo Bills defense. Tagovailoa had only three passing touchdowns over his other three games this season before totaling two on Sunday against the division rivals.
The Rams “held” the Las Vegas Raiders quarterbacks to 0.4 fantasy points in Week 7. However, they have the worst quarterback situation in the NFL. By comparison, Los Angeles has surrendered 2.3 passing touchdowns and 19.9 fantasy points per game to quarterbacks in the other six contests since Week 1, surrendering 18 or more in back-to-back weeks. Furthermore, Geno Smith had three passing touchdowns and 22.1 fantasy points last week against the division rivals despite missing DK Metcalf. Tagovailoa should have his second consecutive two-passing touchdown performance.
Trevor Lawrence (JAX) vs. Minnesota Vikings (32.9% Rostered)
While Lawrence was awful at the start of the season, he has played well lately. The former No. 1 NFL Draft pick averaged 0.8 passing touchdowns and 12.2 fantasy points per game over the first month, totaling 14.8 or fewer in every contest. By comparison, the star quarterback has averaged 1.4 passing touchdowns and 19.2 fantasy points per game over the past five weeks, totaling 15 or more in every matchup. Furthermore, Lawrence has had a role in the run game, totaling three rushing touchdowns over the past two weeks.
Last week, Joe Flacco struggled against Minnesota, completing 59.3% of his pass attempts for 179 yards, two turnovers, and 3.1 fantasy points. However, the Vikings have had their issues with quarterbacks this year. They surrendered 298 passing yards, three touchdowns, and 20.9 fantasy points per game to quarterbacks over their previous four matchups, giving up at least two scores in every contest. The Jaguars will likely have to chase points for the second consecutive week. Therefore, expect Lawrence to take advantage of Minnesota’s secondary with plenty of negative game script.
Streaming Targets in Superflex Leagues
Russell Wilson (PIT) vs. Washington Commanders (21.6% Rostered)
Wilson was the QB14 last season, averaging 17.1 fantasy points per game despite missing the final two contests. Therefore, fantasy players shouldn’t be surprised that the veteran quarterback has been solid this year. He has completed 63.2% of his pass attempts for 271 yards, 1.5 touchdowns, and 19.3 fantasy points per game in his two starts. Furthermore, Wilson has been productive with his legs, averaging 3.5 fantasy points per game on the ground. More importantly, the veteran quarterback should be even better off the team’s Week 9 bye.
Washington’s defense has played better this season than they did last year. Yet, they are far from an elite unit. The Commanders had taken advantage of some matchups against young and awful quarterbacks. However, they struggled against Daniel Jones in Week 9, allowing him to complete 76.9% of his pass attempts for 174 yards, two touchdowns, and 24.4 fantasy points, totaling 54 rushing yards and a touchdown with his legs. Furthermore, Jones had zero passing yards and nine fantasy points at halftime. Wilson should have no trouble against Washington’s defense.
Daniel Jones (NYG) vs. Carolina Panthers (12.4% Rostered)
Speaking of Jones, the veteran is coming off his best performance this season despite an awful first half with zero passing yards. He had a passing touchdown for the first time since Week 5, throwing two. Furthermore, it was his fourth two-passing touchdown game this year, totaling two scores in nearly half of the contests. More importantly, Jones scored a season-high 24.4 fantasy points thanks to 54 rushing yards and a touchdown on seven attempts. While the veteran hasn’t been consistent, he has an excellent matchup in Week 10.
Last week, Derek Carr had 236 passing yards, a touchdown, and 13.4 fantasy points despite losing Chris Olave early in the game to a concussion. However, Carolina had surrendered 2.1 passing touchdowns and 20 fantasy points per game to quarterbacks this year before last week’s matchup. Bo Nix completed 75.7% of his pass attempts for 284 yards, three touchdowns, and 29.8 fantasy points against the Panthers two weeks ago, adding a touchdown on the ground. Don’t be surprised if Jones has his second consecutive game with over 24 fantasy points.
Streamer to Avoid
Drake Maye (NE) vs. Chicago Bears (10.6% Rostered)
Typically, streaming articles provide which players to target off the waiver wire. However, I will give one quarterback that fantasy players should avoid streaming each week.
Maye has played well since taking over as the starter, completing 66.7% of his pass attempts. The rookie has averaged 187 passing yards, 1.5 touchdowns, and 16.9 fantasy points per game as the starter. Furthermore, Maye has been outstanding outside of the contest, where he suffered a concussion, averaging two passing touchdowns and 18.7 fantasy points per game, totaling 19.5 or more twice. Unfortunately, the rookie is coming off his worst game as the starter, totaling 15.7 fantasy points, with 60.5% of his fantasy production coming on the ground.
The former North Carolina star had eight rushing attempts for 95 yards on Sunday. By comparison, Maye averaged 3.7 rushing attempts for 34 yards over his first three starts. More importantly, he faces a Bears defense that hasn’t made things easy for quarterbacks. They have surrendered only 10.3 fantasy points per game to quarterbacks, one of the lowest totals in the NFL. Chicago has held quarterbacks to 6.8 or fewer fantasy points in 62.5% of their games, including Kyler Murray in Week 9. Unfortunately, Maye will struggle against the Bears.
