Fantasy Football Injury Updates

JuJu Smith-Schuster (hamstring) non-participant Thursday
JuJu Smith-Schuster (hamstring) was a non-participant at practice on Thursday.

Fantasy Impact

The Chiefs were without Smith-Schuster in Week 8, and it looks like he’s trending towards missing another game. He’s dealing with a hamstring injury, and it doesn’t look like he’s going to be healthy enough to play in time for Monday’s game. DeAndre Hopkins should have plenty of opportunities to get going with his new team this week.

Bucky Irving (toe) doesn’t practice Thursday
Bucky Irving (toe) did not participate in Tampa Bay’s practice on Thursday.

Fantasy Impact

The rookie was unable to practice on Thursday. He’s managing a toe injury of some kind right now, and recent reports indicated that this is something that he will likely be battling all season. It seems likely that he will play in Week 9, but it’s less than ideal that he will be playing at less than 100% health.

DK Metcalf (knee) doesn’t practice Thursday
DK Metcalf (knee) did not take part in Seattle’s practice on Thursday.

Fantasy Impact

To no surprise, Metcalf wasn’t able to practice on Thursday. He’s still dealing with a knee injury, and it’s a real threat to his availability for Week 9. Fantasy managers should keep close tabs on what his official injury designation ends up being following Friday’s practice.
