Fantasy Football IDP Start/Sit Lineup Advice: Week 10 (2024)

Thursday Night Football was a blast. The marquee matchup of the week did not disappoint, as both Lamar Jackson and Joe Burrow were magnificent. However, it was Ja’Marr Chase who stole the show with his 11 reception, 264 receiving yard, three touchdown performance. On the IDP side of things, Nnamdi Madubuike showed up, generating three sacks on Burrow, while star linebackers Logan Wilson, Germaine Pratt, and Roquan Smith all produced in line with expectations. Looking ahead to this weekend, we will take a look at five players fantasy managers should do their best to plug into their lineups and five others who are better left on benches despite promising upside. Let’s dig in.

Fantasy Football IDP Start/Sit Week 10

Start em

Travon Walker (DL – JAC)
Travon was elite on Sunday, racking up six solos, one assist, two tackles for loss, one fumble recovery, and one touchdown. His fumble to the end zone was something to behold, but the six solos is what has us excited. Walker is at 6.5 sacks for the season, so if he can start contributing in the solo department when he is not getting QB takedowns, he can quickly ascend to the DL1 conversation. It should go without saying, but given his Week 9 rostership numbers, it is worth repeating: start Travon everywhere regardless of format or provider as a top-15 option.

Arden Key (DE/LB – TEN)
Key has caught fire for the Titans, most recently racking up two solos, one sack, two tackles of loss, and one forced fumble. Key has at least one sack in three straight games and has bull rushed his way into the DL2 conversation in the process. Treat him as a top-25 option for a plus Week 10 matchup against the Los Angeles Chargers.

Jared Verse (DE/LB – LAR)
Verse showed up again in Week 9, tallying three solos, one assist, one sack, two tackles for loss, and one pass defended. Verse has 2.5 sacks in his last two games and is worth a look for those looking for a Week 10 DL3, thanks to a plus matchup against the Miami Dolphins. Start Verse where needed.

Ji’Ayir Brown (S – SF)
Brown was excellent in Week 8, tallying four solos, one assist, one interception, and one pass defended. Brown has been a strong DB3 option and has recorded four or more solos in five of his eight contests; he has recorded five or more in three. Start Brown as a DB3 option for a plus Week 10 matchup against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Jamien Sherwood (LB – NYJ)
Jamien continues to shine for the Jets, most recently racking up seven solos, two sacks, and two tackles for loss against the Houston Texans. Sherwood has been elite since CJ Mosley first got hurt, and with the veteran injured again, Jamien should continue to get all the run he can handle. Sherwood has recorded six or more solos in six of his nine contests. Start Jamien everywhere as a top-15 option for Week 10.

Sit em

Zaven Collins (DE/LB – ARI)
Collins showed up in Week 9, racking up two solos, four assists, two sacks, and one tackle for loss. Collins has just three sacks on the season, and these were his first sacks since Week 2. And now, with reinforcements on the way in the form of Baron Browning, now is not the time to gamble on Zaven showing up two weeks in a row. He is worth a stash but should not sniff starting lineups for Week 10. Look elsewhere for your DL3/4.

Jack Gibbens (LB – TEN)
Gibbens went off in Week 9, notching five solos, nine assists, 0,5 sacks, and two tackles for loss. Gibbens has made a strong case to hold off Jerome Baker for good, but there is going to be some kind of rotation when Baker finally starts playing. That, coupled with his limited production prior to the trade for Baker, makes him someone to stash but keep glued to benches for Week 10 despite the plus matchup against the Los Angeles Chargers.

Christian Rozeboom (LB – LAR)
Rozeboom was excellent in Week 9, racking up eight solos, three assists, and two tackles for loss. Rozeboom has been inconsistent this season, topping four solos just twice all season. He has some appeal in deeper 11 v 11 formats but remains more of a depth stash piece than someone you want to trot out there, even during a heavy bye. Look elsewhere for your Week 10 LB3/4.

K.J. Britt (LB – TB)
Britt showed up in Week 9, racking up six solos, three assists, and one pass defended. Britt has been inconsistent in the solo department, managing more than four solos just four times all season. Britt is more LB5 than LB4 at this point of the season but is worth an LB4 look for those dealing with multiple players on bye. Look elsewhere for your Week 10 LB3.

Tykee Smith (S/CB – TB)
Tykee showed up in Week 9, racking up eight solos, one assist, one forced fumble, and one pass defended. Tykee has had some monster spike weeks but is better utilized in CB leagues than DB leagues. Keep Tykee benched unless you are deploying him as a CB2 for Week 10, despite the strong outing and the plus Week 10 matchup against the 49ers.
