Fantasy Football Burning Questions: Week 11 (2024)

Is Audric Estime ready to carry my lineup?

I wouldn’t go all in on Audric Estime yet. Sean Payton said he was going to get an increase in snaps, but that doesn’t mean he’s getting the feature back treatment.

He took 26 snaps last week, doubling his count for the year, but that was only 45% of the total offensive snaps. If he starts the game running well, he should keep getting the ball; any bad plays, like fumbles or not enough yards per carry, he could be out. I would only put him in your lineup if you need a running back.

Is anyone on the Jaguars worth starting with Trevor Lawrence out?

The good news is that Trevor Lawrence’s backup has starting experience; the bad news is that it’s Mac Jones.

You want to trust he can get the ball to Brian Thomas Jr., but he saw only three targets last week despite being on the field for 86% of the snaps. In fact, after a hot start at the beginning of the season, opponents are taking him away, and he has five or fewer targets in four straight games.

With Tank Bigsby out, you hope Travis Etienne can get 25 touches, but don’t look for much success against a Lions team allowing the fourth-fewest fantasy points per game.

What is your projection for Anthony Richardson?

You hope Anthony Richardson’s confidence isn’t shot after being told he was benched for the rest of the year, which lasted two games.

His rushing ability makes him dynamic. Last year, he averaged 5.4 yards per carry. This season, it’s 5.9. We’re seeing the throwing accuracy issues we knew about from when he played at Florida. This season, it is an awful 44.4%, which includes a 6.0 clean pocket accuracy rating (38th), according to PlayerProfiler.

Looking at his schedule, some matchups are against defenses ranked in the bottom 10 in rushing yards allowed to quarterbacks, like the Jaguars, Jets and Giants. However, there are also teams in the top 10, like the Lions, Titans and Broncos.

Is it going to get better for Nick Chubb?

The excellent news is that Nick Chubb dominated carries in Cleveland’s backfield, with a combined 31 over the past two games. The bad news is that he’s only averaging 2.95 yards per carry during that stretch. He’s coming off a major knee injury that left him out for a year, so he isn’t going to come right in and be his old self.

You must like the Browns’ confidence in giving him the ball. He is also coming off a bye. However, his demanding schedule — Steelers (twice), Broncos, Chiefs and Dolphins — doesn’t help.
