Dynasty Trade Advice: Ja’Tavion Sanders, Christian Watson, Kyle Pitts (Week 12)

The season is quickly winding down and trade deadlines are fast approaching. Whether you’re looking to buy low on potential future stars, cash out on overperforming players or hold onto your assets in hopes of a late-season surge, now is the time to make trades.

In this article, we’ll take a closer look at some of the key players to target, sell and hold heading into the critical final weeks of the season, helping you position your roster for both short-term success and long-term gains. Make sure to also utilize our dynasty trade calculator tool to gauge trade values.

Dynasty Trade Advice: Week 12

Buy: Ja’Tavion Sanders (TE – CAR)

Ja’Tavion Sanders isn’t the most appealing buy, but he is a solid one heading into next season. He is currently valued as the TE19 on KeepTradeCut and is TE28 per FantasyPros’ dynasty expert consensus rankings (ECR), which gives the impression he could be a cheap buy with upside at a scarce position.

When playing 75% or more of the snaps, Sanders has finished as a top-12 tight end. On the year, he has been the TE16 or better in four out of nine games.

The below trades have been completed in 12-team Superflex leagues over the past couple of days (via Dynasty-Daddy’s trade database):

These are the types of moves I am looking to make for Sanders — third-round picks or later and aging veterans whose value will only descend from here on out.

Sell: Christian Watson (WR – GB)

Christian Watson had just his third double-digit PPR game of the season — out of nine games played. Strike while the iron is hot and recoup what you can for him. He only had four receptions but they went for 150 yards (no touchdown). He needed a touchdown in the other two double-digit games.

Per KeepTradeCut, he is currently valued as the WR53 in the range of other wideouts such as Rashid Shaheed and Adonai Mitchell, who I would rather take a shot at moving forward in dynasty leagues.

The below trades have been completed in 12-team Superflex leagues over the past couple of days (via Dynasty-Daddy’s trade database):

  • Blake Corum
  • Watson and 2025 second-round pick for 2026 first-round pick
  • 2026 second-round pick

For all of those deals, I easily favor the non-Watson side at this point. Get out from under Watson, who is not likely to see much of a value bump going forward for liquid assets that I feel have a better chance to ascend in value.

Hold: Kyle Pitts (TE – ATL)

One of the most frustrating players to roster in fantasy is Kyle Pitts. Playing a position starved for more consistent playmakers, Pitts is still very young and has top-five weekly upside. There is not another tight end you can pivot to without adding additional assets to Pitts who is young, has immense upside and is in a decent situation.

Pitts doesn’t turn 25 until October of next season. I’m riding the Pitts winding road until next season.
