The game of the week features a highly anticipated Lonestar State showdown between No. 3 Texas and No. 20 Texas A&M, a rivalry that has been dormant since 2011 but is back with massive stakes.
The Aggies, currently on the playoff bubble, need a win to stay in contention for a spot in the postseason, while Texas is already in a strong playoff position, but still has plenty to prove before the SEC Championship.
All eyes will be on Longhorns quarterback Quinn Ewers, who comes into the game nursing an ankle injury that could impact his performance. Kansas running back Devin Neal had the game of his career vs. Colorado and has the draft community buzzing.

Game of the Week
No. 3 Texas (-5.5) @ No. 20 Texas A&M | Total 48.5 | Saturday, 7:30 ET on ABC
This is a rivalry renewed for the first time since 2011. The Texas A&M Aggies will host the Texas Longhorns with a ticket to the SEC title game on the line. The Aggies are playing for their postseason lives as a loss would knock them out of consideration for a playoff berth. Texas is likely in no matter the result of this game.
Potential first-round pick Quinn Ewers comes into this game dealing with an ankle injury he suffered last Saturday. We will see come Saturday how healthy Ewers is and if it impacts his play.
It will be strength versus strength when Texas A&M’s potent rush offense meets Texas’ elite run defense. Texas also has one of the best pass-rushing defenses that will look to knock Marcel Reed off schedule when dropping back to pass and contain his ability to make plays with his legs.
Whether Ewers is fully healthy or not, this will be an uphill battle for the Aggies. I don’t believe they will be able to overcome it. The Longhorns should control the game at their pace and come out victorious.

My Picks:
Devy Spotlight
Devin Neal (RB – Kansas) | 2025
Devin Neal is coming off the game of his career, leading the Jayhawks to a third straight win against a top-25-ranked team with 207 rushing yards, 80 receiving yards and four total touchdowns. Neal could be playing his last game as a Jayhawk if they cannot take down the Baylor Bears.
Neal currently ranks as my RB6 in the 2025 NFL Draft class but is in the same tier as Jordan James, Ollie Gordon and Jonah Coleman. He could leave one last impression heading into the offseason with another big game to close out his career.
Heisman Trophy Race
The top five Heisman favorites after Week 12:
- Travis Hunter (WR/DB – Colorado) | -850
- Ashton Jeanty (RB – Boise State) | +550
- Cameron Ward (QB – Miami) | +1400
- Dillon Gabriel (QB – Oregon) | +6000
- Will Howard (QB – Ohio State) | +40000
It appears the Heisman Trophy race is all but over with Travis Hunter having a massive edge in odds over the field. With only one week remaining in the regular season, it would take a game for the ages for Ashton Jeanty to make this close leading up to the Heisman Trophy ceremony on December 14th.
