15 Players to Buy Low & Sell High (2024 Fantasy Football)

Identifying the right buy-low and sell-high trade candidates is crucial to staying ahead of your league. In this article, we dive into the top trade targets for Week 10, with insights and recommendations from Featured Pros analysts. Whether you’re looking to capitalize on a player’s early-season breakout or snag a struggling star, these tips will help you maximize your team’s potential moving forward.

Week 10 Trade Candidates: Buy Low

Who is your favorite buy-low trade candidate at this point in the season, and why? Also, who are you willing to give up for him?

CeeDee Lamb (WR – DAL)

CeeDee Lamb is a prime buy-low candidate right now if he avoids IR. He has good numbers with Cooper Rush, and owner confidence in the Cowboys is approaching an all-time low. Give up something serviceable and enjoy the volume…especially in PPR.”
Steve Anagnos (Double G Sports)

Amari Cooper (WR – BUF)

Amari Cooper is coming off a game where he was inactive and, prior to that, a game where he was held to one catch. Cooper should be able to return from the minor injury that stopped him from playing last week, and he will continue to take over the WR1 spot for Buffalo. Cooper should now be more acclimated to the offense and will be a high-end WR2 for the remainder of the season. Sell: Jaylen Waddle, Cortland Sutton, Tank Dell.”
Brett Tomlinson (FantasyPros)

Rico Dowdle (RB – DAL)

Rico Dowdle is one of my favorite buy-low players in fantasy right now. Ezekiel Elliot has all but given up on the team, and Dalvin Cook is just that, Cooked, so that leaves Dowdle as the lead back in Dallas. Dowdle had his highest usage of the season against the Atlanta Falcons. He turned 17 touches into 107 yards and a touchdown, scoring 19.2 fantasy points, including five receptions for 32 yards and a TD. The Cowboys will be trailing in a lot of games, so having a receiving floor is great for Dowdle’s floor. I would trade someone like DJ Moore or Chuba Hubbard to procure Dowdle’s services for the rest of the season.”
James Emrick-Wilson (Armchair Scouting)

Kenneth Walker III (RB – SEA)

Ken Walker has run for -40 yards on botched snaps in the last two weeks. He needs to stop bailing the Center and Geno out; it’s costing his fantasy managers. I am looking at Kareem Hunt as a player to use to acquire Walker. Pacheco will be back by early December or even around Thanksgiving. Hunt will go away, and so will his value. We have seen him more involved in the passing game this year, and his volume is great. Go buy Walker before he has another big game. Walker has the 14th easiest schedule for the RB position for the rest of the season.”

Drake London (WR – ATL)

“Unfortunately, Drake London has had a rough two-week run. He has averaged 7.6 half-point PPR fantasy points per game over the past two weeks, totaling 9.7 or fewer in both matchups. More importantly, the star receiver suffered a hip pointer injury last week. Thankfully, head coach Raheem Morris said London is day-to-day, making it possible for him to play in Week 10. He has averaged 8.4 targets and 14.2 fantasy points per game since Week 1, posting a 29% target per route run rate and a 35.3% first-read target share (per Fantasy Points Data). I would try to sell high on DeAndre Hopkins to acquire London, even if I have to throw in a bench player, too.”
Mike Fanelli (FantasyPros)

Jauan Jennings (WR – SF)

Jauan Jennings has missed the last few weeks with a hip injury. During that time, Brandon Aiyuk went down with a season-ending injury, and the San Francisco offense has been down and running through George Kittle. Early in the year, Jennings was being targeted by Purdy with a career game during Week 3 with 175 yards and three touchdowns! Add him to your team for your playoff run before he comes to light up teams again. Offer owners Quentin Johnston, Demarcus Robinson, any Giants WR not named Nabers, or any Green Bay WR.”
Adam Dove (The Fantasy Couriers)

Tyrone Tracy (RB – NYG)

“It is Tyrone Tracy’s world now. Tracy has completed his takeover of the Giants backfield, with the last three games showing a 48-17 touch advantage over Devin Singletary. The kind of usage Tracy could receive down the stretch may make him a mid-range RB2 the rest of the way, and that is something managers must take advantage of if they can. Time is running out before Tracy gets a matchup with the Panthers, who concede the most points to the running back position, in Germany. Fantasy managers may consider using Khalil Shakir, Nick Chubb, and maybe even Jaxon Smith-Njigba, depending on the need for a running back, to get Tracy before he becomes unobtainable. ”
Ed Birdsall (Talking Points Sports)

Breece Hall (RB – NYJ)

“After two straight down weeks, Breece Hall is an excellent buy low at this point in the season. The Jets are still finding themselves offensively while they’ve been integrating Davante Adams into their scheme, and Hall’s production has suffered as a result. But what’s odd about how bad it’s been is the evaporation of targets for Breece, who has only averaged 3.5 over the last two games compared to 6 per game over his first 7. That won’t continue, especially with a cupcake schedule from here on out. Go get Breece now as your RB1 and send away an overachiever like JSN or Tillman or Chase Brown or two of those guys to get it done.”

Week 10 Trade Candidates: Sell High

Who is your favorite sell-high candidate at this point in the season and why? Also, who would you try to get in return?

Jaxon Smith-Njigba (WR – SEA)

“Selling high on Jaxon Smith-Njigba is tough, as his talent is through the roof. Metcalf will be back soon enough, and the opportunity will dissipate. Say goodbye for now and draft him a little early next year.”
Steve Anagnos (Double G Sports)

Zay Flowers (WR – BAL)

Zay Flowers is coming off a huge two-touchdown, 127-yard game. He looks explosive in the offense, but this is still a run-first team that just added Diontae Johnson to the mix of pass-catchers Baltimore already had. Flowers has the talent and speed to score a touchdown on any catch but will likely continue to be inconsistent in this offense. If you can sell for a low-end WR1, now would be a good time to do that. Buy: Deebo Samuel, Drake London, Terry McLaurin.”
Brett Tomlinson (FantasyPros)

Tank Dell (WR – HOU)

” Maybe Tank Dell is finally healthy, or maybe he just capitalized on being the only healthy wideout out of the “big 3” (Diggs, Collins), but either way, he’s coming off of a six reception and 126-yard performance and looked good doing it. You might think to yourself, “Why sell now?” The answer is that Nico Collins is set to return in Week 10, and it’s likely he will immediately reclaim his WR1 status. The Texans rank 23rd in Offensive DVOA, and with CJ Stroud having an up-and-down year, I’m not sure he can support two fantasy options at wideout. I’m not saying to sell Dell just to sell him, but if you can capitalize on his performance and get max value in return, I think now is the time. If you can, swap him for Brian Thomas, Jr. coming off a down performance, or possibly try to swap him for Tyreek Hill if the owner has grown impatient. With Stroud not playing particularly well, I’m not sure he can support a second fantasy-relevant WR. If you can’t sell Dell for anything worthwhile, you’re better off holding him. But if there’s a desperate fantasy manager out there looking for anything at WR, this may be the peak of Dell’s value.”
James Emrick-Wilson (Armchair Scouting)

J.K. Dobbins (RB – LAC)

JK Dobbins might have opened up another sell window, and I suggest you take advantage. A lot of the Twitter docs have reported concerns about his burst decreasing as the season continues. We have a long history of seeing him unable to finish a season healthy. His playoff schedule is tough (TEN, BAL, KC, and DEN). He has several single-digit games and has been really touchdown-dependent. I would use him to get Tyrone Tracy. Tracy has the #1 best strength of schedule ROS for the RB position, has Carolina this week.”
David Heilman (Sports Gambling Podcast Network)

J.K. Dobbins is a spectacular sell-high right now. His season has been rather impressive thus far. However, there is one thing in his profile that does raise some alarm bells: a boom or bust yards per carry. While he is averaging 4.9 yards per carry this season, Dobbins is fresh off of a 5-game stretch where he did not have more than 3.8 yards per carry in any of those five before a 6.1 yards per carry day against the Browns. Looking ahead, Dobbins faces one of the more difficult stretches on paper, with matchups against the Chiefs, Ravens, Falcons, Bengals, and Broncos, all of which are top 15 defenses against RBs so far this season. If Dobbins could fetch a Mike Evans, D.K. Metcalf, or an Aaron Jones level of player, fantasy managers should not hesitate to do those deals.”
Ed Birdsall (Talking Points Sports)

DeAndre Hopkins (WR – KC)

DeAndre Hopkins had eight receptions on nine targets for 86 receiving yards, two touchdowns, and 24.6 half-point PPR fantasy points in Week 9, easily setting season-highs in every category. Fantasy players should take advantage of the performance and sell high on Hopkins. The veteran had an excellent fantasy matchup against an awful Tampa Bay Buccaneers secondary. Furthermore, he had a lower target per route run rate (29%) than Mecole Hardman against the Buccaneers (per Fantasy Points Data). More importantly, Hopkins has an awful rest-of-season schedule, starting with the Denver Broncos in Week 10. I would try to flip the veteran and bench player for CeeDee Lamb or Drake London.”
Mike Fanelli (FantasyPros)

Quentin Johnston (WR – LAC)

Quentin Johnston just had a career week with four receptions for 118 yards and a touchdown! That is just his third double-digit scoring week this year in an offense that is run-centric. Ride that amazing performance to the trade block and look to get a more consistent wide receiver like Darnell Mooney, Josh Downs, Khalil Shakir, or Diontae Johnson. You might have to add another piece to a trade, but those players will give you more consistent play heading into the playoffs.”
Adam Dove (The Fantasy Couriers)

Mike Gesicki (TE – CIN)

“I am selling Mike Gesicki everywhere I can. I am well aware that the Bengals have just lost Erick All for the season, but Tee Higgins is the clear-cut No. 2 option in Cincy. Gesicki has gone off in almost every game with Higgins off the field. But when Tee returns, he’ll most certainly be left fighting with Andrei Iosivas for third or even fourth in the pecking order. People might see the next Cade Otton in Gesicki, one of this week’s hottest waiver options. If that’s the case, I’d move him for a flex piece like Cortland Sutton or Bucky Irving, both of whom have exceptional schedules down the stretch.”
