NFL DFS Stacking Advice & Picks: Week 8 (2024)

NFL DFS Stacking Advice & Picks: Week 8 (2024)

In Week 8 of daily fantasy football, stacking players from the same team is a powerful strategy that can take your lineup to the next level. You capitalize on team synergy by stacking and pairing a quarterback with one or more teammates, like a wide receiver or tight end. Stacking can be without the quarterback if you find the right duo(or even trip) to maximize your fantasy points and break the slate.

NFL DFS Stacking Advice & Picks: Week 8

Stacking works exceptionally well in matchups with high projected point totals or against defenses with known weaknesses. Identifying these games and choosing the right player combinations can help you build a lineup that performs well and has explosive potential. We don’t overlook “secondary” stacks, either. Secondary stacks mean pairing opposing players in the same game for a mini-stack that benefits from a potential shootout.

As you dive into Week 8, we’ve broken down the top team stacks to consider, analyzing which matchups offer the most upside and where you might find value plays to round out your roster. We’ll look at elite stacks with top-tier players and sneaky under-the-radar options that could pay off big. So, if you’re ready to take a calculated risk and stack your way to DFS success, here’s everything you need to know to craft a winning lineup for this week. Let’s get stacking and start winning!

Joe Burrow + Ja’Marr Chase + AJ Brown (QB+WR CIN/ WR PHI)

Joe “Cool” Burrow can face a struggling pass defense this week. Although the Eagles have revved up their sack-producing defensive line, the defensive back room still has holes in the armor that can be exploited. Burrow has thrown two or more touchdowns in five of the seven games for the Bengals this season. He has also completed 70.4% of those throws this year. Although Tee Higgins is dealing with a late injury this week, he still has his college teammate Ja’Marr Chase to lean on, and you can always plug in Andre Iosivas, who has three touchdowns this season, to keep this offense humming.

However, the best option is Chase. Did you know before the Thursday night football game this week that Chase was the leading wide receiver in the NFL regarding yardage. Now he gets to face an Eagles defense tied for the fifth most touchdowns allowed to the position this week. They are tied for the sixth most fantasy points per game (FPPG) in the wide receiver position. If Higgins is out, Chase could be in for a hyper-targeted affair.

This Eagles game is the second-highest implied total on the slate, so we want multiple pieces in this contest. Outside of Saquon Barkley, no one is used more in the Eagles offense than AJ Brown. His PFF grade this season is 98.6, which is first in the league. He has 16 catchable targets and converted 100% of those into receptions. Brown also gives Jalen Hurts a perfect passer rating of 158.3 when throwing to him. Considering Hurts’ struggle in the passing game, that comfort goes a long way for the Eagles and our DFS lineups in Week 8. The Bengals have allowed the 11th most receiving yards to wide receivers this season, and we should expect more of the same this week as Philadelphia comes to town.

D’Andre Swift + Chicago Defense (RB + DST)

This stack is built entirely in the game narrative. The Bears face the Washington Commanders this week, and it looks like they are trending to play this game with Marcus Mariota under center due to Jayden Daniels‘ injury. With that injury in mind, we could see this already potent defense elevate to another level. They have three games with more than ten fantasy points this season. They also recorded three or more sacks in every game but one this season. They also have an interception in every game but one this season. The Bears’ defense can bring the pressure, and we know that pressure creates sacks and turnovers. This defense will be fun to watch and is on alert for a defensive touchdown this week.

If the Bears dominate, as we suggest in this scenario, the offense will lean on the running game and D’Andre Swift. After a rough start to the season, Swift has turned it around. He has seen 16 or more carries in three straight games in which he produced over 90 yards in two of the three games. He has also recorded a touchdown in each of those three games. They also use him in the passing game, as he has seen four or more targets in that same span.

Without Daniels, there is no bring-back option in this game, so instead, we take our Bears players and move on to other players from other games because this game narrative suggests a return to the old-school running game that 2024 has adopted this season.
