Fantasy Football Outlook: Will Khalil Shakir Play Week 5?
Khalil Shakir (ankle) ruled out Week 5
Khalil Shakir (ankle) has been officially ruled out for Week 5 vs the Texans.
Fantasy Impact
Shakir has been unable to practice in any capacity on Wednesday or Thursday, so it’s safe to assume he won’t be practicing on Friday and will not play on Sunday. Keon Coleman, Dalton Kincaid, and Curtis Samuel could all see an increased role in the offense with Shakir out.

Khalil Shakir (ankle) doesn’t practice again Thursday
Khalil Shakir (ankle) didn’t practice yet again on Thursday.
Fantasy Impact
Thursday marks the second-straight practice that Shakir has missed because of an ankle injury. His status for Week 5 is up in the air right now, but we should get some more clarity about his status following Friday’s practice. Rookie Keon Coleman will be in line for a bigger role if the veteran misses Sunday’s game.

Khalil Shakir (ankle) not practicing Wednesday
Khalil Shakir (ankle) is not participating at practice on Wednesday.
Fantasy Impact
Shakir is dealing with ankle soreness that left him sidelined at Wednesday’s practice. It’s not considered a serious issue, and the team will continue to evaluate his status over the next few days. If for some reason he’s limited or out in Week 5, that would mean good things for the fantasy value of Dalton Kincaid and rookie Keon Coleman.
