Fantasy Football Trade Advice
Patrick Mahomes (QB – KC)
“Putting it simply, Patrick Mahomes is only worth the name value for fantasy. He’s struggled mightily to start the season, failing to hit 17+ points or a top-12 finish in any game so far in 2024, which is only compounding onto a poor end to 2023 where he hadn’t finished as a top-12 fantasy QB in a game since Week 12 last year. And it only gets worse… Mahomes managed to throw an interception and (likely) tear WR Rashee Rice‘s ACL on the same play. It’s not getting any better for Mahomes outside of a major trade for a WR. I’d strongly recommend trying to get what you can out of Mahomes’ name value on the trade market. We’re at the moment where I’d take a mid-to-low QB1 for Mahomes, which is unfortunate given the expectations entering the season – I’d try to get someone like Murray or Prescott for him (off the name value) if possible, but if not, I’d turn to flipping him for Anthony Richardson plus an upgrade elsewhere in your lineup or on the bench.”

Garrett Wilson (WR – NYJ)
“I know Garrett Wilson is a very talented receiver, but clearly something isn’t right in New York. Most people drafted him in the late 1st hoping he would produce like a top receiver in the league, but it doesn’t look like the Jets have an offense capable of having one. There are also trade rumors flying around with Davante Adams and Amari Cooper that could immediately affect Garrett Wilson’s production if one of them ended up with the Jets. Things could turn around for him this season, but I’d rather take a DK Metcalf or Chris Olave and have more confidence in the production I’d be getting.”
– Joey Meinerding (Fantasy Dink)
Davante Adams (WR – LV)
“Trade Davante Adams based on hype and hype alone. All of the winds are swirling around a potential reunion between Aaron Rodgers and Davante Adams in New York, and that by itself will get fantasy managers very intrigued about an Adams purchase. Couple that hype with name value, Adams presents a fantastic selling opportunity for his fantasy managers. If Adams could fetch an Aaron Jones or a Deebo Samuel in return, Adams managers should have 0 qualms about selling as soon as possible.”
