Christian McCaffrey (Achilles) ‘has a chance’ to play in Week 10
Christian McCaffrey reportedly “has a chance” to play in Week 10 against the Buccaneers.

Fantasy Impact

This has been the target return for McCaffrey for a while following the 49ers bye week. It is not official, but seems to be the expectation as of now.

DK Metcalf (knee) doesn’t practice Thursday
DK Metcalf (knee) didn’t take part in Seattle’s practice on Thursday.

Fantasy Impact

As expected, Metcalf was not able to participate in Thursday’s practice. The team is planning to evaluate his health on Friday, but it’s looking like a long shot for him to play this week. Jaxon Smith-Njigba will be primed for a big workload if the star wideout is sidelined for Seattle.

Deebo Samuel Sr. (illness/wrist) officially limited Thursday
Deebo Samuel Sr. (illness/wrist) was officially a limited participant at practice on Thursday.

Fantasy Impact

Thursday was very promising for Samuel. He was able to return to practice for the 49ers, despite dealing with a wrist injury and the lingering effects of an illness that left him hospitalized earlier in the week. It remains to be seen what his availability will look like for Week 8, but he’s primed to see more work for the rest of the season now that Brandon Aiyuk (knee) is out for the remainder of the year.
