Week 5 didn’t spare us on the injury front. Below are some notable names who sustained injuries and how they could impact their fantasy football outlook.
Fantasy Football Injury Report & Week 6 Outlook (2024)
De’Von Achane suffered a concussion early in Sunday’s game and did not return. He doesn’t have a reported return date yet, and we’ve seen concussion recovery timelines range from shorter than one week to multiple weeks. The Dolphins are on a bye in Week 6, and no news indicates Achane is expected to miss time beyond then. However, if you roster Achane, it’s worth looking into Jaylen Wright. The rookie fourth-round pick took 13 carries for 86 yards in Achane’s absence.

Aaron Jones left Sunday morning’s game in London with a hip injury. Mike Florio of ProFootballTalk reports that Jones isn’t expected to miss any time and should return after the Vikings’ week six bye. Ty Chandler is a must-roster if you have Jones on your team, though. He is the clear backup in Minnesota at the moment.
Nico Collins left Sunday’s game in the first quarter with a hamstring injury and didn’t return. There are some conflicting reports here, as Houston-based reporter Aaron Wilson of KPRC initially said this injury shouldn’t hold Collins out for long, if at all. Adam Schefter, however, is calling the injury “week-to-week.”
If Collins were to miss time, Stefon Diggs, Tank Dell and Dalton Schultz would get a boost in value. Xavier Hutchinson, Robert Woods and John Metchie remain extremely deep league additions in the event that Collins misses more time than anticipated.
Xavier Legette left Sunday’s game with a shoulder injury but told reporters he’ll be good to go next week, per Sheena Quick. A Legette absence would mean more targets for Carolina’s receiving options, such as Jalen Coker, Jonathan Mingo, Diontae Johnson and Ja’Tavion Sanders.
Drake London briefly left Thursday’s game and was evaluated for a concussion but returned. After his second catch in overtime, London took a big hit and left the game. The game ended shortly after, so we don’t know if he would have returned. No signs point to London missing any time at the moment. Ray-Ray McCloud would be the player to add should London be in danger of missing a game.
Aaron Rodgers briefly left Sunday’s game with what he called a low ankle sprain. Rodgers returned, so it’s fair to expect he won’t miss any time, but it’s something to monitor. A Rodgers absence would likely hurt the Jets’ receiving options in fantasy.
