We’re diving into the intriguing dynamics of two standout players this week: Tee Higgins and Javonte Williams. While Higgins is establishing himself as the potential No. 1 WR in the Bengals’ high-octane offense, Williams just delivered a breakout performance that opens the window for managers to cash out.
We’ll explore why now is the perfect time to buy Higgins and sell Williams, as well as why holding Rashod Bateman could pay off in the long run. Whether you’re looking to bolster your roster or make strategic moves before the trade deadline, these insights will help you navigate the ever-evolving landscape of dynasty fantasy football.

Dynasty Trade Advice: Week 8
Buy: Tee Higgins (WR – CIN)
Is Tee Higgins the No. 1 WR in the Bengals’ offense? He may be. Per DD Fantasy Football‘s trinity score, Higgins holds a slight edge with a score of 7.96 over Ja’Marr Chase at 7.45. While Chase is averaging three more PPR points per game, he is being used as a high-end No. 1 WR and Higgins has borderline elite usage. Over the past four weeks, Higgins has out-targeted Chase 39-to-30. During those weeks, he has been the fantasy WR3 overall. It is not crazy to think Higgins is the No. 1 WR or No. 1 WRb in this offense.
Looking at Dynasty-Daddy’s trade database, Higgins has been traded for (in 12-team Superflex leagues):
- Jaxon Smith-Njigba and a 2025 second-round pick
- Brandon Aiyuk and a 2025 third-round pick
- Rashod Bateman a 2025 second-round pick and a 2025 third-round pick
- Ja’Lynn Polk, a 2026 second-round pick and two 2025 second-round picks
- 2025 first-round pick
I’m willing to pay the above prices to acquire Higgins right now before his value gets out of control. There is still the strong possibility he ends up on a new team as the No. 1 WR rather than with the Bengals longterm. Either way, I am all in on Higgins moving forward. I would pay as high as a mid-2025 first-round pick to acquire him.

Sell: Javonte Williams (RB – DEN)
Javonte Williams finally had a massive week with 26.2 PPR points. You reaped the benefit of having him in your lineup when he went off but now is the time to sell. Keep in mind he did put up the big numbers against the Saints, who allow the fifth-most fantasy points to running backs. What may appeal most to potential buyers is he currently ranks third in targets for the running back position. Looking at Dynasty-Daddy’s trade database, Williams has been traded for (in 12-team Superflex leagues):
- Tyler Allgeier and a 2025 second-round pick
- MarShawn Lloyd and a 2025 second-round pick
- Chase Brown and a 2026 second-round pick
- Darnell Mooney
- 2025 second-round pick
I would be very happy to move Williams for any of the above deals. You can then pivot to another running back with a plus on top or a high-upside player you can plug into your Flex spot weekly.

Hold: Rashod Bateman (WR – BAL)
It is very tempting to try to unload Rashod Bateman after his game under the bright lights on Monday Night Football (121 yards and one touchdown). He has had a steady role in the Ravens’ offense all season, averaging 4.2 targets per game. He is a viable weekly fantasy start sit Flex option with touchdown and big play upside every time he touches the ball. Unless I’m getting an early 2025 second-round pick, though, I’m holding and getting whatever production I can out of him.
Uh oh. The king of timed route-running Rashod Bateman is also learning how to play street ball with Lamar Jackson when things break down. Their chemistry is growing. pic.twitter.com/JwdDtoInzE
