11 Dynasty Risers & Fallers (2024 Fantasy Football)

Let’s take a look at some dynasty fantasy football risers and fallers after Week 6.

Dynasty Fantasy Football Risers & Fallers

Dynasty Fantasy Football Risers

Caleb Williams (QB – CHI)

If it wasn’t clear before his trip across the pond, it ought to be now. The young lad Caleb Williams has arrived. Williams lit up the Jaguars’ defense in London to the tune of 226 yards and four touchdowns on 23-of-29 passing. He also added four carries for 56 yards and looked every bit like the player the Bears hoped they were getting with the first pick of the 2024 NFL Draft.

Williams has now surpassed 20 fantasy points in two straight weeks after throwing for 304 yards and two scores last week. Three of his last four contests have ended in multi-touchdown performances. Not only are things beginning to click for Williams, but it seems Shane Waldron has adapted to his personnel and is making the most of the offensive weapons, all good things for Williams.

Cole Kmet (TE – CHI)

Speaking of Shane Waldron making the most of his personnel, Cole Kmet is back in the good graces of the offensive coordinator. After strangely deploying Gerald Everett ahead of Kmet, that experiment has been put to bed. Waldron is known for rotating tight ends, but the Bears have suddenly begun utilizing 11 personnel at a much higher rate, with Kmet as the lone tight end.

On Sunday, Kmet led all tight ends with 24 fantasy points while catching all five of his targets for 70 yards and two touchdowns. It marks the tight end’s second game with 20+ fantasy points. He’s now topped 50 yards in three of his last four games.

Kimani Vidal (RB – LAC)

The dynasty community has been waiting for this one. Let’s not get ahead of ourselves, though, as J.K. Dobbins continues to look spry. Kimani Vidal wasn’t much of a factor on the ground anyway, running just four times for 11 yards, but he caught two passes for 40 yards and a touchdown. His first NFL touch was a wheel route that ended in a terrific grab and a 38-yard score.

With Gus Edwards going on injured reserve (IR), Vidal should continue to play a role and see opportunities in the Chargers backfield. His value could rise quickly if he becomes more involved and makes plays like he did on Sunday.

Baker Mayfield (QB – TB)

Through Sunday’s games, Baker Mayfield is fantasy football’s QB2. Yes, the same Baker Mayfield the Browns kicked to the curb in favor of a completely dysfunctional offense, but I digress. After losing offensive coordinator Dave Canales, there were questions about whether Mayfield and the Bucs passing offense would be able to sustain its success from last season. Those questions are no longer being asked.

Although he threw three interceptions this week, Mayfield tossed four touchdowns en route to 325 yards. He’s thrown nine touchdown passes in the last three weeks and has topped 300 yards in two of those three weeks. He’s finished above 20 fantasy points in four out of six games and above 18 points in five out of six.

Terry McLaurin (WR – WAS) & Noah Brown (WR – WAS)

Earlier this season, it seemed as though Terry McLaurin was in trouble yet again. Although Kliff Kingsbury is mostly unimaginative in his utilization of McLaurin, Jayden Daniels looks like the real deal. McLaurin is now the WR10 after catching six passes for 53 yards and two scores on Sunday. He’s topped 100 yards in two of his last four games and has scored four touchdowns in that span.

Noah Brown is flying under the radar, but he posted four catches for 58 yards on eight targets. He was out in Week 5, but Brown was the clear No. 2 receiver in Week 4 and Week 6. After the release of Jahan Dotson, it seemed Dyami Brown, Olamide Zaccheaus or Luke McCaffrey would step into what seemed like an irrelevant role. Things have changed, though, with the emergence of Daniels. Noah Brown is on the come-up in Washington’s offense.

Bub Means (WR – NO)

With the unexpected release of A.T. Perry, Bub Means may have gotten a slight boost to his outlook. Once Chris Olave left Sunday’s game with a concussion, however, it was time for the rookie seventh-round pick to slide into a meaningful role on the outside. Means delivered five grabs on eight targets for 45 yards and a touchdown. With a short week ahead for the Saints, Means should have another opportunity on Thursday. If he continues to make plays, his stock will continue to rise and will become a potential fantasy start sit option.

Dynasty Fantasy Football Fallers

Will Levis (QB – TEN)

It feels like the clock is ticking until the inevitable change at quarterback for the Titans. Will Levis reached a new low on Sunday, throwing for just 95 yards and a touchdown, completing 16-of-27 passes. He’s thrown an interception in all five games this season and has topped 200 yards just once. The Titans brought out the checkbook this offseason for their new offensive weapons, which is resulting in an incompetent offense. Something needs to change.

Calvin Ridley (WR – TEN)

Based on his post-game comments, it seems Calvin Ridley agrees with my Will Levis perspective. One of the aforementioned new offensive weapons for the Titans, Ridley went without a catch on eight targets this week. He has just nine catches through five games and has failed to surpass one reception in his last three games. It’s ugly for Tennessee and Ridley. I’m not sure how much a quarterback change would help Ridley. His stock is lower than it’s been since he returned from his gambling suspension. I wouldn’t bet on a resurgence any time soon.

Ja’Lynn Polk (WR – NE)

I’m not suggesting we panic and give up on Ja’Lynn Polk, but the rookie was touted as the Patriots’ No. 1 wide receiver from the jump and a playmaker ready to contribute from Day 1. Although that has not been the case, the offense has been in disarray as a whole. Drake Maye took over for Jacoby Brissett on Sunday and looked the part, sparking the Patriots’ offense to its highest point total of the season. Yet, Polk caught just one pass for four yards. He’s caught more than two passes just once this season. His 30-yard performance in Week 4 more than doubled any of his other totals this season.

Jonathan Mingo (WR – CAR)

Jonathan Mingo started the season ahead of Xavier Legette. That always felt like part of the process of making a rookie earn it with regards to Legette, but now undrafted rookie Jalen Coker has passed Mingo as well. Coker ran 30 routes on Sunday and earned three targets compared to 13 routes and one target for Mingo. It can be very difficult for a young receiver to recover after getting buried on the depth chart, and the former second-round pick is in jeopardy of that fate.
