Fantasy Football Outlook: Will Chris Olave Play Week 8?
Chris Olave (concussion) good to go for Sunday
Chris Olave (concussion) is good to go for Sunday’s game against the Los Angeles Chargers.
Fantasy Impact
As expected, Olave has cleared the NFL’s concussion protocols and will be good to go for Sunday’s game. Derek Carr (oblique) is likely going to be out for the Saints and rookie Spencer Rattler is expected to be their starter, which is bad news for the fantasy value of the star wideout.

Chris Olave (concussion) logs full practice Thursday
Chris Olave (concussion) logged a full practice session on Thursday.
Fantasy Impact
A concussion left Olave sidelined last week, but it looks like he’s going to be available to play in Week 8. He logged a full practice session on Thursday, so it seems very likely that he will be cleared to play before Sunday. Fantasy managers shouldn’t set expectations too high for him with Spencer Rattler at the helm for New Orleans, however.

Chris Olave (concussion) returns to practice in limited fashion Wednesday
Chris Olave (concussion) returned to New Orleans’ practice on Wednesday and was a limited participant.
Fantasy Impact
The Saints had several key players return to practice on Wednesday, including Olave, who missed last week’s game due to a concussion. It looks like he’s trending the right way for Week 8 after logging a limited practice session, but fantasy managers shouldn’t expect a ton out of him with Spencer Rattler once again set to start at quarterback for the Saints.

Chris Olave (concussion) ruled out for Thursday night
Chris Olave (concussion) has been ruled out for Thursday night’s game against the Denver Broncos.
Fantasy Impact
As expected, Olave will not be able to play on Thursday night. He suffered a concussion in Sunday’s loss to the Buccaneers, and he never had much of a chance to get cleared to play with New Orleans having a short week of preparation. Rashid Shaheed (knee) will also be out for the Saints, so they may need to look for players like Cedrick Wilson and Juwan Johnson to step up and play a bigger role on their offense against the Broncos.
