We’re halfway through the college football regular season and there’s been quite a few players that continue to catch my eye this season. Even though the NFL Draft is months and months away, it’s never too early to look ahead. With that, I’ve got three college football prospects to watch for your dynasty and devy leagues.

2025 NFL Draft Prospects Preview
Sebastian Castro (DB – Iowa)
One of the more experienced defensive backs over the last two seasons, it’s been a slow start to the season for Iowa DB Sebastian Castro. Going into this season, he had combined for 13 pass deflections and three interceptions over 27 games played. That said, Castro has been physical in the run game this year and is becoming more consistent in playing the football.
Two weeks ago against Minnesota, he had his first pass breakup of the season. Now the Hawkeyes are coming off their bye week and they’ll need to be well rested and prepared to beat this Ohio State football team. For this Iowa defense, they’ll need to create pressure and on the back end of that, they’ll need tight coverage played by their secondary, including Sebastian Castro.

On tape, I love the way he comes up and plays against the run. Meanwhile, his physical style of play is different from what Jeremiah Smith and Emeka Egbuka have seen this season. If Castro can step up and limit those two receivers, he could solidify himself as one of the top 50 players in the 2025 NFL Draft.
Landon Jackson (DL – Arkansas)
Another player who got off to a relatively slow start this season was Landon Jackson of Arkansas. The talented pass-rusher has gotten some first-round buzz going into this season but he didn’t record his first sack until last week against Texas A&M.
Coming off an impressive performance where he logged eight tackles, three tackles for loss and two sacks, we could see Jackson have a big game against Tennessee this weekend. The Volunteers average 28.25 pass attempts per, game so there should be opportunities for Jackson to bring down the quarterback.
Elijah Sarratt (WR – Indiana)
Don’t look now but the Indiana Hoosiers are undefeated and look like they could be a sleeper coming out of the Big Ten this year. Much of that is due to their head coach Curt Cignetti but they’re also getting strong production from their offense. Hoosiers QB Kurtis Rourke has 11 touchdown passes and only two interceptions. Meanwhile, their running back duo of Justice Ellison and Ty Son Lawton has combined for 618 rushing yards and 11 touchdowns on 108 carries this season.
Another player that has been playing well for the Hoosiers is WR Elijah Sarratt. One season removed from James Madison, it looks like Sarratt could start producing in a similar way he did for the Dukes. Last season, he recorded 82 receptions for 1,191 yards and eight touchdowns. This season, he’s already got 22 receptions for 378 yards and two touchdowns.
Last week against Maryland, Sarratt had seven receptions for 128 yards and one touchdown. Showing good run-after-the-catch ability, he displays good play strength and at 6-foot-2 and 209 pounds. There’s much to like with his frame and how he plays. Two weeks ago, Northwestern played Washington and their defense gave up seven receptions for 121 yards and two touchdowns to Denzel Boston. I would expect a lot of the same for Sarratt this week.
