Fantasy Football Outlook: Will Tank Dell Play Week 4?
Tank Dell (chest) ruled out for Sunday
Tank Dell (chest) has been ruled out for Sunday’s game against the Jacksonville Jaguars.
Fantasy Impact
Dell will miss Sunday’s game because of a chest injury that he suffered last week. The injury isn’t thought to be too serious, but there’s no guarantee that he will be fully healthy in Week 5 either. Fantasy managers should expect Dalton Schultz to benefit from his absence on Sunday.

Tank Dell (chest) not practicing Friday
Tank Dell (chest) was not participating at Houston’s practice on Friday.
Fantasy Impact
Dell is dealing with a chest injury and was absent from Houston’s practice on Friday. It looks like he is going to be out in Week 4, but we won’t get an official update about that until after practice is over. If he’s unavailable to play, Stefon Diggs and Dalton Schultz will both see more work in his absence.

Tank Dell (chest) misses practice again Thursday
Tank Dell remained sidelined from practice on Thursday.
Fantasy Impact
It is the second straight missed practice for Dell to open the week after leaving last Sunday’s game in the fourth quarter. He’ll likely have to practice in some capacity on Friday to have a good chance to play this week.

Tank Dell (chest) doesn’t practice Wednesday
Tank Dell (chest) didn’t practice for the Texans on Wednesday.
Fantasy Impact
Dell was unable to participate at Wednesday’s practice due to a chest injury that he’s dealing with. HC DeMeco Ryans described the injury as a ‘day-to-day’ issue, and it’s unclear if it will affect his Week 4 availability at all. Fantasy managers should keep tabs on his practice status on Thursday and Friday.

What the Experts Are Saying
Dell has been a disappointment to this point as the WR53 in fantasy. He has only managed a 14.3% target share, a 24.5% air-yard share, 1.01 YPRR, and a 13.5% first-read share as the Texans’ WR3. He’s third on the team in end zone and red zone targets. Jacksonville has the fourth-highest single-high rate in the NFL (64%). Against single-high, Dell has seen a slight increase in his usage with a 17% target share, a 29.2% air-yard share, 1.00 YPRR, and a 12.9% first-read share. His route metrics aren’t any prettier. Among 106 qualifying receivers, he ranks 43rd in separation and 57th in route win rate. This is a good matchup for Dell to show some type of spark. Jacksonville has allowed the 10th-highest PPR points per target and the sixth-most receiving yards to perimeter wide receivers. Dell will run about 62% of his routes against Montaric Brown (77.8% catch rate and 113.0 passer rating) and Ronald Darby (66.7% catch rate and 133.3 passer rating). Dell is due for a big game. He did miss Wednesday’s practice (chest).
