NFL Week 2 Sleeper Picks Player Predictions (2024)

Welcome to Sleeper Picks. Sleeper’s newest offering promised plenty of entertainment and action, and they delivered. We will break down our top three picks for this week’s NFL action. Sleeper is quickly becoming one of the most popular season-long fantasy platforms, and they are expanding into other areas based on demand. Each week in this space, we’ll talk about some strategy for the new platform while providing our favorite NFL more/less picks.

Sleeper Picks NFL Week 2

2024 Season record: 1-2

JK Dobbins (RB – LAC): 54.5 rushing yards

Dobbins looked healthy in Week 1, ripping off 135 rushing yards on just 10 carries. The Chargers’ offensive line is a strength with the addition of Joe Alt and should continue to open up large, gaping holes for the running game. Dobbins did benefit from lighter boxes than what Gus Edwards saw and should continue to going forward, as the opponent will always be thinking run when Gus Edwards is in the game. Dobbins takes on a disaster of a team (and organization) in the Carolina Panthers that will be without top defender Derrick Brown this weekend, putting him on the 100 rushing yard radar. I did think about tapping the alt line of 30.5 rushing yards, but with the opponent being the Panthers, Dobbins should be able to hit this number with relative ease, even in a committee. Dap the More on Dobbins for Week 2.

Pick: More

Jameson Williams (WR – DET): 47.5 receiving yards

The Jameson Williams we’ve all been waiting for showed up for Week 1, hauling in five of his nine targets for 121 receiving yards and adding one rush for 13 yards. It’s been a long time coming for the former 12th overall pick, but the Lions finally have the field stretching, home run hitting complement to Amon-Ra St. Brown they’ve been hoping for. Amon-Ra and Sam LaPorta remain the top options in the passing game, but if the Lions can continue to establish Jameson as a legitimate threat, he will open things up underneath where Amon-Ra and LaPorta thrive. Jameson won’t see a 32 percent target share much more this season, if at all, but 47.5 receiving yards is only about three receptions worth of work for someone who had an aDot of 14.1 in Week 1. Jab the More on Jameson for his Week 2 matchup against a banged-up Tampa Bay Buccaneers secondary.

Pick: More

Rashee Rice (WR – KC): 72.5 receiving yards

Rashee was excellent in Week 1, hauling in seven of his nine targets for 103 receiving yards. Rice was already a breakout candidate due to his strong play down the stretch of last season and in the playoffs, but the attention Travis Kelce demands combined the addition of Xavier Worthy (and eventually Marquise Brown when healthy) is going to serve to continue open things up in a major way for the sophomore receiver. The spike in the More number from 63.5 to 72.5 this week is kind of alarming, as most knew Rashee would have a strong season, so consider the alt line. However, for those who don’t like giving up multipliers so early in the season, Rashee should still hit this inflated number, thanks to a plus matchup against a Cincinnati Bengals team that always seems to have some early season woes.

Pick: More

Writers note: The lines are constantly changing on Sleeper, so there is a high probability that one or all of the numbers may no longer be the same when you open your app. There are excellent values when they are first posted, with the only catch being that they are not all released at the same time. Vigilance could provide a solid return on investment this season, literally.
