Deshaun Watson not expected to land on exempt list
Cleveland Browns QB Deshaun Watson is not expected to be placed on the commissioner’s exempt list following the recent lawsuit filed against him stemming from an alleged 2020 sexual assault and battery incident.

Fantasy Impact

The NFL has no initial plans for the new situation involving Watson as there are currently no criminal charges and the league’s review of the incident has only just begun, per NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero. Brian McCarthy of the NFL PR department said that the league is “reviewing the complaint and we will look into the matter under the Personal Conduct Policy.” For now, there is a process both the court system and NFL will go through and Watson’s on-field play should not be directly impacted by the news at this moment.

Despite Wilson feeling better, the Steelers are preparing for Justin Fields to make another start in Week 2. The Steelers are expected to monitor Wilson to see if he can “protect himself and be productive” before they send him back onto the field.

Tyreek Hill police investigation ongoing
Tyreek Hill is still under investigation by police after Hill was pulled over on Sunday for careless driving and a seatbelt violation. It is still an internal investigation so not every detail is public yet, but the department is looking into what led to his two citations and why he was detained.

Sunday’s incidents certainly did not impact Hill’s performance. He went on to lead the Dolphins in receiving and even scored a long 80-yard touchdown. While nothing has been reported from the NFL, it’s not impossible to assume a suspension could come Hill’s way once the details are laid out. However, that is mere speculation instead of hard facts. Fantasy managers should monitor the situation as it develops.
