Joe Mixon avoided a long-term or ankle serious injury.

Fantasy Impact

Mixon went down on a hip drop tackle in Sunday’s game against the Bears. He underwent an MRI on Monday and reportedly avoided a serious injury. It is still possible he misses some time. Dameon Pierce is making “fast progress” from a hamstring injury that sidelined him in Week 2.

Tua Tagovailoa (concussion) placed on injured list
Tua Tagovailoa (concussion) has been placed on the injured list according to Mike Garafolo.

Fantasy Impact

Tagovailoa will not be eligible to return until Week 8, but according to head coach Mike McDaniel the team has not established a timetable for the quarterback’s return. Skylar Thompson will remain QB1 for the Dolphins heading into Week 3.

Packers rookie RB MarShawn Lloyd is to be placed on IR with an ankle injury that he suffered in the fourth quarter of Sunday’s win vs. the Colts. Green Bay has signed RB Chris Brooks from the practice squad to counteract this move.

Fantasy Impact

Unfortunate start to the rookie season for the third-round USC product. Expect Emanuel Wilson to resume RB2 duties for the Packers.
