Christian McCaffrey expected back ‘early November’
49ers RB Christian McCaffrey (Achilles) is targeting a return to play in early November. He has returned from his medical trip in Germany and could be back to running on grass as soon as this week.

Fantasy Impact

The 2023 NFL rushing leader had traveled to Germany to receive special medical attention on his Achilles, and the treatment supposedly went well. This is good news for Mccaffrey owners as there is now an expected timetable for his return. Expect Jordan Mason to continue his RB1 duties until Christian McCaffrey is back in action.

Davante Adams (hamstring) considered week-to-week
Davante Adams is considered week-to-week after injuring his hamstring during Thursday’s practice.

Fantasy Impact

Adams was quickly ruled out for Week 4, but now it looks like this injury could lead to a multi-week absence. The upcoming week of practice will determine how healthy Adams is, but fantasy managers should be prepared in case he misses extended time. Brock Bowers would likely be the top option in the Raiders’ passing game, with Jakobi Meyers and Tre Tucker also expected to see a heavier workload.

Nick Chubb expected to return to practice this week
Nick Chubb (knee) is expected to return to practice this week.

Fantasy Impact

The Browns are expected to open Chubb’s practice window as he works towards returning from the PUP list. While the Browns will be taking things slow with their star running back, they feel Chubb is ahead of schedule in his recovery from major knee surgery early last season. Once the window is activated, the Browns have three weeks to activate Chubb officially.
