Live Fantasy Football Discord AMA with Pat Fitzmaurice
Pat Fitzmaurice: Hey @everyone. Live chat starting now in the Pat Fitzmaurice AMA channel. See you there!
Jason H: Hey @Pat Fitzmaurice Full ppr flex. George Pickens, Devin Singletary, Javonte Williams, Christian Kirk, Dionte Johnson. Leaning Kirk or Javonte. Kinda wanna see what Pickens and Johnson do with double teams and bad QBs before I start them?
Pat Fitzmaurice: Leaning Javonte. Love his pass-catching potential, and he was kind of a sneaky high-volume guy last year. From Week 7 to Week 16, he averaged 18.9 touches a game, and I think he’ll have a fairly big load again this year.
austindail1999: I know the rankings suggest playing David Montgomery in my Flex spot in full PPR, but I already have Jahmyr Gibbs starting. Would you still start Monty, or would you throw Raheem Mostert or Courtland Sutton in instead?
Pat Fitzmaurice: I would diversify with Mostert (who I have ranked higher than Monty in Week 1 anyway). Starting two RBs in the same backfield can really limit weekly upside. I recommend trying to deal with one of those Lions.
FluffyMagmaFace: 10 Team Superflex league 1 QB 2 RB 2 WR 2 Flex 1 Superflex. Is it smart going QB/QB or should I be trying to load up on WR/RB to fill the extra regular flex spot?
Pat Fitzmaurice: It’s good to get a QB in the first two rounds, and I certainly wouldn’t pass up a chance to get Allen, Mahomes, or Lamar in Round 1. But it is not necessary to go QB-QB. In a 10-teamer, the QB hunger might not be as fierce as it would be in a 12-team SF draft. It might not be a bad idea to capitalize on the chance to get a star RB or WR in Round 2. The QB position is pretty deep, and I’d be comfortable with anyone in the top 17-18 at the position as my QB2. (Fitz’s QB Rankings)
Joestutzy: Fitz, quick question: Blake Corum is available as a pick-up, and my worst RB is Rico Drowdle. Would you drop Rico for Corum and if so why? Rico is trying to beat out an older back vs. Corum is competing with top backs in the league and Corum is ranked 37 on my list with Rico at 42 (FP’s list). Thank you.
