5 Fantasy Football Burning Questions for Week 3 (2024)

Don’t look at your injury-depleted roster and think it’s over. It’s still early in the season and there are some players who could come through for you in the chase for a championship.

Let’s answer some fantasy football burning questions you have for NFL Week 3.

Week 3 Fantasy Football Burning Questions

How do you feel about Tyreek Hill‘s value without Tua Tagovailoa?

It’s not as bad as other top receivers losing their quarterbacks.

Tyreek Hill is not just one of the best receivers in the league but also one of the top athletes. Last year, he was second among wide receivers with 12 broken tackles and third with 668 yards after the catch. They will scheme plays for Skylar Thompson to get Hill the ball and let him use his athleticism.

Can I ride Sam Darnold for the rest of the season?

It looks like you can. Minnesota has installed a good offense for Sam Darnold to excel. Justin Jefferson is one of the best receivers, Aaron Jones has started being great in the backfield and the offensive line is giving him the most time in the pocket (2.6 seconds).

If those key pieces stay healthy, Darnold can thrive in this offense. It will also help when T.J. Hockenson returns.

Is Brock Purdy droppable at this point?

We will find out Brock Purdy’s true value soon. It hasn’t been a great start to the season, as he was QB18 through the first two weeks. The schedule does favor him, so there’s some optimism, facing the Rams, Patriots and Cardinals in the upcoming weeks.

The Rams have allowed the third-most points to quarterbacks, followed by the Patriots, who got torched by Aaron Rodgers, and the Cardinals, who have allowed the fourth-most points to quarterbacks.

I’ll ride with him this week, but it could be one-and-done with another bad performance until his top playmakers (Christian McCaffrey, Deebo Samuel, George Kittle) return.

Should we expect Week 1 or Week 2 Anthony Richardson for the rest of the season?

Can we say it will be a little bit of both? We knew going into the season Anthony Richardson wasn’t going to light up the scoreboard with his arm, but the strength of his fantasy value comes from his legs.

He was 11th among quarterbacks in run-designed plays. He only played four complete games and led in run-designed play percentage. Mobile quarterbacks are idle for fantasy and we will see Richardson’s legs more in the future.

Can anyone in the Rams’ offense shine in Cooper Kupp‘s and Puka Nacua‘s absences?

If someone were to set themselves apart, it would have happened last week. The offense looked lost without Puka Nacua and Cooper Kupp, and we didn’t see any receiver step up as they were demolished by an Arizona defense that allowed 38 points to Buffalo a week before.

Going against San Fransisco this week could mean another rough outing.
