Fantasy Baseball Two-Start Pitcher Lookahead: Week 27 (September 23-29)

This is the final week of the regular season! There is probably no worse week to stream two-start pitchers because nobody knows who will pitch over the final weekend. That’s just the reality, with most teams playing for nothing, and that becomes even more problematic with contenders trying to set up their rotation for the postseason.

Most teams have also switched to six-man rotations, leaving us with the smallest list we’ve had all year. We’re still going to show you guys who the projected two-start streamers are, and if you can get two starts from any of them, that could be the boost you need to win your league! I want to thank all of you for reading throughout the year, and I hope you guys take down your leagues!

Every fantasy baseball manager should regularly look for a leg up on the competition. Planning ahead and playing the waiver wire well are two of the most effective ways. With the “Two-Start Pitcher Lookahead,” the goal is to peer into the future to point out some lesser-rostered (under 65%) starting pitchers who should be taking the mound twice for their clubs next week.

If there is room on your fantasy roster, it often pays off to stash one of these starters, particularly the first few in the rankings below. Why wait for the bidding war to start immediately before their two-start week? Get out in front of things now.

Keep in mind that situations can change quickly with MLB rotations. Given how things stand at the time of writing, the hurlers below should be in line for that coveted two-start week.

There are no two-start pitchers we want to stream this week. That’s just the nature of the final week. With that said, here are a couple of guys that are more heavily rostered and are worth adding if they’re available.

Bowden Francis (TOR) vs. BOS, vs. MIA

Nestor Cortes (NYY) vs. BAL, vs. PIT
