A.J. Brown (hamstring) ruled out for Week 4 against Buccaneers
A.J. Brown (hamstring) has been ruled out for Week 4 by the Philadelphia Eagles against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers according to Adam Schefter.

Fantasy Impact

Brown will miss a third consecutive contest due to the hamstring injury, joining DeVonta Smith (concussion) sidelined for Sunday’s matchup against the Buccaneers. Superstar running back Saquon Barkley will likely carry the load on offense, while wideout Jahan Dotson and tight end Dallas Goedert remain the primary options in the passing game for quarterback Jalen Hurts Sunday.

A.J. Brown (hamstring) unlikely to play Week 4
A.J. Brown (hamstring) is considered a long-shot to play in Week 4 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Fantasy Impact

Brown has been out for several weeks because of his hamstring injury, and he’s trending towards missing another game on Sunday. That makes sense, as the team has their bye the following week and wants to give him adequate time to fully recover. Devonta Smith (concussion) is also considered a long-shot to play, so Dallas Goedert could be primed to get a lot of work for the Eagles this week.

Fantasy Impact

Brown was sidelined from practice on Wednesday. A.J. Brown (hamstring) was not seen practicing for the Eagles on Friday.

Fantasy Impact

Brown missed Philadelphia’s game in Week 2 because of a hamstring injury, and the same issue has forced him to miss practice all week. It looks like he was a non-participant at Friday’s practice as well, which doesn’t bode well for his Week 3 availability. DeVonta Smith and Britain Covey will both be primed for more work if the star receiver has to miss yet another game on Sunday.

What the Experts Are Saying

Out. Avg = 2 weeks. Data favors return Week 4, but practice reports are the key. High re-injury risk upon return. Eagles could opt to play it safe and keep Brown out through their Week 5 bye, which would mean a Week 6 return.

A.J. Brown (hamstring) and DeVonta Smith (concussion) didn’t practice on Wednesday. I don’t foresee either playing this week, but if either suits up, they are in your fantasy lineups. If/when they are ruled out, I might be adding some Eagles receiving options not named Jahan Dotson to the Primer.
