PGA DFS Advice & Picks: Wyndham Championship (2024)

The 2024 regular season culminates this week at the Wyndham Championship. Those who have already sewed up their place in the top 70 are preparing for the FedEx Cup playoffs next week. The bubble boys who need a good showing in Greensboro this week are gnashing their teeth and grinding for those last precious few spots in the big-money events on the horizon. The PGA DFS streets have tumbleweeds bouncing through in the void left by the Open Championship and last week’s Olympics in France. There are still contests to draw us in and edges to burn.

Motivation is not an issue for the young golfers looking to kickstart their Tour careers, nor is it for those who wish to sneak into next week’s St. Jude Classic in Memphis on merit. I am driven to put forth a robust player pool, teeming with upside. We have only a month left to add to our bankrolls from the world of golf. Let’s make it count.

Sedgefield Country Club is a short par-70 tucked into the forests in central North Carolina. While driving accuracy is important, it is to gain scoring chances on approach rather than avoid trouble. Hurricane Debby is making landfall in the area this week, at least softening this gettable golf course into a veritable dart board for these golfers.

Throwing darts is the way to win here. Those who can stick it close from 175 yards and inward will put themselves in a prime position to knock in a ton of birdies. I am more interested in recent putting form than overall stats, as evidenced by putting dunce Lucas Glover catching fire at the end of 2023 with this trophy on his mantle. I will also be more sensitive to the projected roster percentage since the parity in this field offers less incentive to join in on chalky options. Leverage wins money in DFS. It’s doubly true in events like this one.
