Jonathan Mingo slotted as starter on depth chart
Jonathan Mingo is slotted in as a starter on Carolina’s unofficial depth chart.

Fantasy Impact

Mingo had a disappointing rookie campaign in 2023, but it looks like he will still get opportunities this year. He’s currently listed as a starter prior to Carolina’s first preseason game, although that’s subject to change prior to the start of the season. Unless he takes a big step up from a talent perspective this year, fantasy managers shouldn’t be expecting him to have much value in most league formats.

Braelon Allen trending towards winning RB2 job
Braelon Allen is trending towards winning the RB2 job for the Jets this season.

Fantasy Impact

Allen, a fourth-round pick in the 2024 NFL Draft, has been competing for the RB2 job behind Breece Hall throughout Jets’ training camp so far. It appears that he’s the leading candidate for the job, as the team has officially listed him as the RB2 on their unofficial depth chart. This is subject to change before the start of the season, but for now, it looks like he’s earning a real role for himself on New York’s offense.

Jordan Addison will have Oct 7 arraignment and plea hearing in California
Minnesota Vikings WR Jordan Addison has been assigned an Oct. 7 arraignment and plea hearing in Los Angeles County Superior Court for his alleged incident last month of driving under the influence.

Fantasy Impact

After arriving at training camp last month, Addison said to reporters, “Whatever’s out there for me, whatever comes with it, I’ll own up to everything. I feel like anything that comes my way is meant to happen or is deserved.” This would be a big loss for the Vikings’ offense if Addison were to miss any time. Only time will tell if the young WR was guilty, and if so, what sort of punishment he will receive.
