DeAndre Hopkins (knee) won’t need surgery
Tennessee Titans WR DeAndre Hopkins will be out “several weeks” with a left knee injury, said coach Brian Callahan. Callahan added that there was no surgery needed, and the star receiver is likely to return by Week 1.

Fantasy Impact

The Titans travel to Chicago to play the Bears in Week 1. Hopkins totaled 1,057 yards and seven touchdowns on 75 receptions last season. Having him return for Week 1 would be a huge boost for the Tennessee offense.

Jonathon Brooks (knee) not expected to be ready till Week 3 or 4
Panthers coach Dave Canales said he’s looking for Jonathan Brooks to be close to ready by Week 3 or 4.

Fantasy Impact

Brooks won’t see any action in the preseason as he continues to recover from a torn ACL he suffered at Texas. He remains a running back fantasy managers should be drafting with the understanding that he may not be fully healthy until a month or so into the season, but he has the potential to be a league winner over the second half of the season.

Bucky Irving could have ‘bigger role’ than some think this season
Bucky Irving is reportedly looking like the “real deal” as a runner and receiver and could play a big role this season.

Fantasy Impact

Irving will open the season backing up Rachaad White who was the clear workhorse in the Bucs backfield last season. White is still slated to be the lead back, but it’s possible his workload takes a small step back if Irving continues to impress.
