Tuesday’s Starting Pitcher Rankings
Logan Gilbert (SEA) vs. TB
Logan Gilbert is outstanding at home. According to FanGraphs, in 27 starts spanning 168.1 innings at home since last year, Gilbert has had a 3.37 ERA, 3.44 xFIP, 0.92 WHIP, 4.3 BB%, 26.6 K% and 19 quality starts. Gilbert has a superb matchup and stellar betting info tonight.
The Rays are 23rd in wRC+ (92) with a 24.3 K% versus righties and tied for 14th in wRC+ (97) with a 25.0 K% on the road this year. Tampa Bay was also 28th in wRC+ (71) with a 26.3 K% in the previous 14 days. So, the Mariners are -155, and the game's total is 7.0 runs.
Logan Webb (SF) at MIL
Logan Webb is on a white-hot heater. In his previous five starts totaling 37.1 innings, he's had a 0.96 ERA, 2.96 xFIP, 3.37 SIERA, 0.75 WHIP, 52.0 GB%, 4.3 BB%, 22.3 K%, 31.3 CSW%, 121 Stuff+, 108 Location+ and 108 Pitching+. Webb's matchup isn't ideal, but his betting info is rock-solid.
The Brewers are 10th in wRC+ (107) with a 23.5 K% versus righties and 12th in wRC+ (106) with a 24.6 K% at home this year. Milwaukee was 18th in wRC+ (92) with a 25.1 K% in the previous 14 days. Thus, the Giants are -115, and the game's total is 7.5 runs.
Andrew Heaney (TEX) at CWS
Andrew Heaney is primarily a matchup-driven suggestion. The White Sox are dead last in wRC+ (73) with a 24.8 K% versus lefties and dead last in wRC+ (77) with a 22.5 K% at home this year. Chicago was also only 24th in wRC+ (84) with a 23.3 K% in the previous 14 days. Predictably, the Rangers are -150 against the lowly White Sox, and the game's total is 8.0 runs.
For Heaney's part, he's been unlucky lately. In his past five starts spanning 24.1 innings, he's had a 5.18 ERA, 4.01 xFIP, 3.74 SIERA, 1.15 WHIP, 5.7 BB%, 24.8 K% and 27.3 CSW%. Heaney can provide significant surplus value as an SP2 if he pitches closer to his peripherals than his ERA.
Suggested Lineup Stacks
Roddery Munoz is a fun pitcher to stack against in any MLB ballpark. In his last five starts, he's had a 7.08 ERA, 4.46 xFIP, 4.59 SIERA, 1.82 WHIP and allowed 2.21 HR/9. Munoz has also allowed a .314 wOBA to righties and a .440 wOBA to lefties this year. The Rockies should crush him in MLB's most hitter-friendly ballpark.
- Road (Fenway Park)
- Game Total/Moneyline: 10.0 Runs/TOR +124
Cooper Criswell is in a funk. In his last six appearances (one start), he's had a 6.14 ERA, 5.30 xFIP, 5.38 SIERA, 1.77 WHIP, 9.0 BB%, 10.4 K%, 4.9 SwStr%, 20.1 CSW%, 97 Stuff+, 93 Location+ and 92 Pitching+. Criswell's swoon coincides with Toronto's offensive explosion. The Blue Jays were first in wRC+ (130) in the previous 14 days.

Check out our best picks on the MLB Underdog Cheat Sheet
Aleandro Kirk: 1.5 Total Bases - Higher (Sleeper) (1.88x)
Alejandro Kirk: 1.5 Total Bases - Higher (Underdog) (Scorcher 1.05x)
In 73 plate appearances and 17 starts this month, Kirk has hit three doubles and three homers with a .274 batting average, .468 slugging and .194 ISO. He's also exceeded 1.5 total bases in four consecutive starts. Kirk will have right-handed batter park factors of 1.133 for singles, 1.176 for doubles, 1.350 for triples and 1.166 for homers tonight at Fenway Park. Finally, Criswell has yielded 12 doubles, six homers, a .287 batting average and .478 slugging to 173 righties this season.
Ryan McMahon: 7.5 Fantasy Points - Higher (Sleeper) (1.73x)
Ryan McMahon: 8.0 Fantasy Points - Higher (Underdog)
As I noted above, McMahon has excelled at home against righties. As a left-handed batter, he has park factors of 1.167 for singles 1.210 for doubles, 1.708 for triples and 1.092 for homers at home. Furthermore, Coors Field has the highest park factor for runs (1.351). McMahon should feast against a pitcher who's coughed up a .303 batting average, .385 OBP, .684 slugging and .440 wOBA to 179 lefties this season.
Michael Toglia: 1.5 Total Bases - Higher (Sleeper) (1.95x)
Michael Toglia: 1.5 Total Bases - Higher (Underdog) (Scorcher 1.13x)
Toglia has the same optimal park factor and matchup conditions as McMahon. To reiterate, Munoz has yielded 11 doubles, one triple, 15 homers, a .303 batting average and .684 slugging to 179 lefties this year. Munoz has essentially turned left-handed batters into 2022 Aaron Judge (.311 batting average and .686 slugging). Toglia can make the most of this eruption opportunity.
