Fantasy Football Sleepers: Taysom Hill, Tyler Conklin, Brock Bowers (2024)

Fantasy Football Sleepers: Taysom Hill, Tyler Conklin, Brock Bowers (2024)

Here are three tight ends to consider that are going after the TE10 spot, according to FantasyPros’ average draft position (ADP) tool. These are some of our favorite late-round fantasy football draft sleepers at the tight end position.

Taysom Hill (TE – NO)

Yup, we’re going back to the Taysom Hill well.

In 2023, Hill finished with the following stats:

  • Passing: 83 yards and one touchdown.
  • Rushing: 81 carries, 401 yards and four touchdowns.
  • Receiving: 39 targets, 33 receptions, 291 yards and two touchdowns.

He finished the year with seven total touchdowns and was the TE15.

Now, should you start Hill every week? That could be a tough sell, but he had three straight games from Week 7 to 9 with at least 16.8 points. He scored over 20 in two of those games.

Juwan Johnson and Foster Moreau are the other tight ends on the Saints roster. Together, they combined for 58 catches for over 560 yards and five touchdowns.

Hill has simply been more productive when he gets on the field. He could be an excellent fill-in in certain spots. We just need to get a sense of more consistent usage. Whenever he hits the field, he makes something happen.

Tyler Conklin (TE – NYJ)

The Jets will have Aaron Rodgers under center. After wide receiver Garrett Wilson, there are some question marks surrounding the pass-catchers. They have wide receiver Mike Williams, but he gets injured often. He’s never played a full season. Since entering the NFL in 2017, he’s played in 88 out of 115 games (76%).

Should he go down, the Jets have Xavier Gipson, Malachi Corley, Allen Lazard and tight end Tyler Conklin.

Over his career, Rodgers has completed 954 out of 1,347 attempts to the tight end position for 10,310 yards, 89 touchdowns and 14 interceptions.

In 2022, he completed 78.3% of his passes to tight ends (72-of-92) for 628 yards, four touchdowns and three interceptions.

In 2023, Conklin logged the second-most passing down snaps on the team and caught 61 passes on 83 targets for 622 yards and zero touchdowns.

With Rodgers under center, he’ll have touchdown upside and get a fair share of looks.

Brock Bowers (TE – LV)

I’m somewhat cheating with this one by having Bowers go as the TE11, but the rationale for this is relying on Brock Bowers’ talent.

He’s on the Raiders with Gardner Minshew, who is slated to be the starting quarterback to begin the year. Other receivers on the Raiders include Davante Adams and Jakobi Meyers. Bowers will certainly be in the top three in targets for the Raiders, but Meyers is coming off a season with 106 targets.

In 2023 with the Colts, Minshew attempted 490 passes and completed 305 of them for 3,305 yards, 15 touchdowns and nine interceptions. Of that, he attempted 94 passes to tight ends on the Colts. They caught 55 of them for 672 yards and four touchdowns. However, the Colts didn’t have a weapon at tight end like Bowers.

The Raiders will trail in many games, and if Minshew has 490 attempts again, this is enough to support three targets.

Trust the talent here.
