Robert Tonyan diagnosed with back spasms
Robert Tonyan has been diagnosed with back spasms.
Fantasy Impact
It was concerning when Tonyan had to be carted out of Wednesday’s practice after suffering an injury, but it has turned out to not be a serious issue. He is only dealing with back spasms, and while they are a minor problem, it shouldn’t keep him sidelined for very long. He may even be well enough to play in the team’s preseason games, which will confirm that this situation is nothing to worry about.

Jerry Jeudy (knee) limited at practice Friday
Jerry Jeudy (knee) was limited at Cleveland’s practice on Friday.
Fantasy Impact
Jeudy’s knee injury is still keeping him limited at practice. He didn’t take part in some of the team drills on Friday, and it’s unclear when he will be back to full participation. This should only be concerning if he is still limited within a couple of weeks of Week 1.

Geno Smith (hip/knee) not at practice Friday
Geno Smith was not spotted at practice on Friday.
Fantasy Impact
Smith underwent testing that came back clean on injuries to his hip and knee. Seahawks coach Mike Macdonald still said Thursday that he was unlikely to practice on Friday, so his absence should come as no surprise. He’ll look to return to practice by next week with Sam Howell likely taking over until then.
