Puka Nacua (knee) expected to play Week 1
Puka Nacua (knee) is expected to be ready to go ahead of Los Angeles’ season opener against the Detroit Lions.
Fantasy Impact
Nacua recently suffered a knee injury at practice, but HC Sean McVay has expressed optimism with his recovery. He told reporters that he expects the star wide receiver to be ready to go before Week 1 of the regular season and also noted that the injury is considered minor. This is great news for Nacua’s fantasy value, but this is a situation that managers should continue to monitor over the next couple of weeks.

Elijah Mitchell dealing with hamstring strain
Elijah Mitchell is dealing with a hamstring strain.
Fantasy Impact
HC Kyle Shanahan told reporters on Tuesday that Mitchell is dealing with a strained hamstring. It’s unknown if he will have to miss any time because of it, but it certainly makes him less likely to play in the team’s preseason opener on Saturday. Christian McCaffrey is also dealing with a calf injury, so Jordan Mason projects to be San Francisco’s RB1 for the time being.

Josh Jacobs (groin) returns to practice Tuesday
Josh Jacobs returned to practice on Tuesday with the Packers after missing time with a groin injury.
Fantasy Impact
Jacobs had missed the previous two practices. It is unclear how much he will practice, but it is a good sign he is back on the field in any capacity.

Ricky Pearsall re-aggravates shoulder injury
Ricky Pearsall re-aggravated his shoulder injury and left practice early on Tuesday.
Fantasy Impact
Pearsall missed some time earlier this spring because of a shoulder injury, and for a while it seemed like he was over it, but he just re-aggravated on Tuesday. The team pulled him out of practice in what they describe as a precautionary move, and the exact severity of the injury is unknown right now. The 49ers are currently trending towards trading Brandon Aiyuk, but if the rookie is expected to miss time with this injury, that could possibly change.
