Kirk Cousins says he’ll be ready for Week 1
Atlanta Falcons QB Kirk Cousins (Achilles) says he expects himself to be on the field for Week 1 vs. the Steelers on Sept. 8.

Fantasy Impact

The four-time Pro Bowler suffered a torn Achilles tendon on Nov. 1 last season against the Green Bay Packers. The Falcons handed him a four-year $180 million contract this offseason, hoping to provide a major upgrade to their offense.

MarShawn Lloyd suffers hamstring injury in NFL debut
MarShawn Lloyd suffered a hamstring injury in the preseason opener against the Browns.

Fantasy Impact

Before Lloyd’s departure in the third quarter, he only had one carry for eight yards and one target that produced a one-yard catch. The severity of Lloyd’s injury is still unclear, and the timeline for return is unknown, but in the meantime, second-year player Emmanuel Wilson should see more reps as Green Bay’s third-string running back.

Russell Wilson anticipated to be available vs. Bills
Pittsburgh Steelers HC Mike Tomlin said he expects QB Russell Wilson to play next weekend against the Bills.

Wilson sat out of the Steelers’ first preseason game, with only quarterbacks Justin Fields and Kyle Allen receiving snaps. The 35-year-old veteran will look to make his debut in a Steelers uniform next Saturday.
