News & Notes
Ryan Helsley has taken back the lead in all of baseball with 39 saves. Emmanuel Clase (37 saves) and Kyle Finnegan (31 saves) are the only other two closers with at least 30 saves this season.
Seranthony Dominguez has seemed to take over the closer role in the Orioles’ bullpen from Craig Kimbrel. He has taken losses in back-to-back appearances, but recorded saves in three straight appearances before that.
Justin Martinez has taken hold of the closer role in the Diamondbacks’ bullpen. He logged saves in back-to-back appearances this week against the Marlins.
Pete Fairbanks and Victor Vodnik were both placed on the injured list (IL). It is committees for now in both the Tampa Bay and Colorado bullpens.
