Davante Adams‘ agents insist trade talks haven’t happened
Davante Adams‘ agents Kenny Chapman and Frank Bauer made a statement saying trade talks haven’t happened.

Fantasy Impact

“This is baseless, unfounded speculation and Davante is expected to be with the Raiders as there has been absolutely no trade talk – period.” There has been rumors going around of Adams potentially reuniting with Aaron Rodgers on the Jets. It appears that won’t happen as of now, but it is worth monitoring at the very least.

Brandon Aiyuk: 49ers ‘have no intention’ of trading star receiver
The 49ers reportedly “have no intention” of trading WR Brandon Aiyuk.

Fantasy Impact

This report comes shortly after it was announced that Aiyuk requested a trade from San Francisco. The two sides have seemingly been unable to come close to an agreement on an extension this offseason. It is worth noting that the 49ers have agreed to contracts for other big stars entering the last year of their deals very late in the past, most recently Nick Bosa in September last season and Deebo Samuel at the end of July in 2022. This will remain a situation to monitor with the 49ers opening up training camp next week.

Jaxon Smith-Njigba pushing for big role in Seattle
Jaxon Smith-Njigba could be pushing for more playing time over Seattle’s top two wideouts: DK Metcalf and Tyler Lockett. His coaches have praised his work ethic and ability this offseason, further helping his cause.

Fantasy Impact

JSN probably will not supplant DK Metcalf for the top dog in the Seahawks’ offense. But, while Tyler Lockett is still a capable receiver, with him aging, Smith-Njigba could take over as the No.2 in 2024. Their new offensive coordinator, Ryan Grubb, regularly utilized three wide receiver sets at the University of Washington in 2023, something he’s likely to implement in Seattle. JSN should see the field with regularity this year and looks poised for a breakout campaign.
