Monday’s Starting Pitcher Rankings
Bryce Miller (SEA) vs. LAA
Bryce Miller has excelled at home. According to FanGraphs, in 24 home starts spanning 134.0 innings at home since last year, Miller has had a 2.96 ERA, 3.87 xFIP, 101 WHIP, 6.0 BB% and 25.9 K%.
The young righty has a favorable matchup and ideal betting info tonight. The Angels are tied for 25th in wRC+ (91) with a 23.1 K% versus righties and tied for 25th in wRC+ (87) with a 21.0 K% on the road this season. Finally, the Mariners are -162, and the game's total is 7.5 runs.
Hunter Greene (CIN) at ATL
Hunter Greene's 3.10 xERA this season has been the lowest among tonight's starters. Additionally, the young righty has had a 3.34 ERA, 1.11 WHIP, 9.9 BB%, 27.6 K%, 26.3 CSW%, 124 Stuff+, 98 Location+ and 103 Pitching+ in 19 starts, totaling 110.1 innings.
The flame-throwing righty should have another DFS-friendly start tonight. The Braves are tied for 22nd in wRC+ (93) with a 24.4 K% versus righties and tied for 13th in wRC+ (107) with a 24.8 K% at home. Atlanta also suffered another blow yesterday, losing Ozzie Albies to an injury. Thus, while the Reds are slight underdogs (+132), the game's total is an unthreatening 8.0 runs.
River Ryan (LAD) vs. SF
River Ryan will make his big-league debut. He's an exciting prospect with eye-catching stuff.
In five starts spanning 16.1 innings in Triple-A this season, Ryan has had a 2.76 ERA, 3.76 xFIP, 1.16 WHIP 9.1 BB%, 28.8 K% and 14.8 SwStr%. Ryan has pitched 4.0, 5.0 and 4.0 innings in his last three starts. According to MiLB.com, he threw 57, 67 and 66 pitches in that period, rendering Ryan a non-option at FD and capping his ceiling at DK.
Still, Ryan is an intriguing SP2 at DK in GPPs. Tonight's contest will be the first for the Giants after a series at Coors Field. San Francisco had an underwhelming series in Colorado, and their offense might take a game or two to adjust to being back in non-Coors Field hitting conditions.
Suggested Lineup Stacks
The Phillies have a ho-hum matchup against Bailey Ober tonight. The 29-year-old righty has had a 4.14 ERA and 3.63 xERA this season, but he's ceded 1.44 HR/9. Philadelphia has a potent offense, ranking tied for sixth in wRC+ (109) versus righties and seventh in wRC+ (104) on the road. Therefore, they can light up an average pitcher.
- Home (Dodger Stadium)
- Game Total/Moneyline: Unlisted
First of all, Miguel Rojas is listed in the projected lineup. However, he left last night's game with a forearm issue, putting his status in doubt for tonight's game. Nevertheless, Rojas's absence wouldn't reduce the appeal to stack LA's potent offense against the ever-inconsistent Blake Snell. The Dodgers are first in wRC+ (125) versus lefties and third in wRC+ (121) at home this season.
Core Studs
- Bryce Harper is having an outstanding season at the plate. In 371 plate appearances this year, he's hit 22 homers and stolen five bases with a .396 OBP, .275 ISO and 165 wRC+.
- In 385 plate appearances against lefties since 2022, Will Smith has hit 18 homers with a .384 OBP, .237 ISO and 147 wRC+.
- Trea Turner is on a nuclear heater. In his previous 108 plate appearances, he's hit nine homers and stolen two bases with a .380 OBP, .310 ISO and 183 wRC+.
Value Plays/Punts
- In 273 plate appearances this season, Brandon Marsh has swatted nine homers and stolen 11 bases with a .341 OBP, .172 ISO and 117 wRC+.
- Andy Pages has hit two homers with a .378 OBP, .159 ISO and 150 wRC+ in 74 plate appearances against lefties in his rookie campaign.
- Chris Taylor was a slightly above-average hitter in his previous 65 plate appearances, recording a 107 wRC+. The veteran utility player is an adequate punt.

Will Smith: 6.5 Fantasy Points - More (PrizePicks)
Smith has been in good form. In his past 77 plate appearances, he's hit four homers with a .351 OBP, .224 ISO and 131 wRC+. Snell isn't an imposing matchup, either. The veteran lefty has surrendered a .325 wOBA to righties this season.
