James Conner sees 2023 as his floor
James Conner sees his 2023 season as his “floor” going forward and aims to have an even better year in 2024. According to the article, he’s not changing the way he plays, but he is trying to make smarter decisions on the playing field, like going out of bounds instead of taking unnecessary hits, in an effort to stay healthy the whole season.

Fantasy Impact

It’s likely Conner’s last season in Arizona, with the Cardinals drafting his heir apparent in Trey Benson. All indications say Conner will still be the lead back in 2023, however, and he has been a valuable asset for fantasy managers while filling that role. Assuming he stays healthy for the majority of the year, an RB2 season is well within his capability.

Curtis Samuel expected to have versatile role in Bills’ offense
Curtis Samuel is expected to be a versatile part of the Bills’ offense in 2024.

Fantasy Impact

Samuel posted his best season under Joe Brady as his offensive coordinator. He registered 851 receiving yards and three touchdowns on a career high 77 receptions. With Stefon Diggs out of the picture, Samuel should see plenty of targets in a new-look Bills’ offense.

Kyle Pitts getting reps at both tight end and wide receiver
Kyle Pitts has been cross-training at tight end and wide receiver in the Falcons’ new offensive system.

Fantasy Impact

New Atlanta offensive coordinator Zac Robinson recently said of Pitts that “he’s learning basically two different positions” in the Falcons’ new scheme. This is the type of new fantasy managers want to hear, as it should indicate that Robinson wants to get Pitts involved in the offense as much as possible. The former first-round pick could be poised to reassert himself as a top-tier TE following a couple of largely disappointing campaigns.

Tee Higgins to play on franchise tag this season
Tee Higgins will officially play this season with the Bengals on the franchise tag.

Fantasy Impact

This was the expectation as the two sides didn’t appear to come close to agreeing to an extension. Higgins could be playing this season with some extra motivation as he’ll be entering free agency next offseason.
