CeeDee Lamb not expected to report to training camp Wednesday
CeeDee Lamb is expected to not be present at training camp on Wednesday. Lamb, one of the league’s best receivers, seems to be holding out after being unable to secure a contract extension with the Cowboys.

Fantasy Impact

Lamb’s stellar season last year solidified him as a top-3 fantasy pick in most drafts this year. Widely considered the overall WR1, it is worth monitoring the 25-year-old’s status as the season approaches. Lamb had season highs in targets, receptions, yards, and touchdowns last year and will look to add to his impressive career resume in the 2024-2025 season if he can reach an agreement with the Cowboys.

Michael Gallup retiring from NFL
Michael Gallup is retiring from the NFL after spending his six-year career with the Cowboys.

Fantasy Impact

Gallup’s retirement comes as a bit of a surprise, as he is only 28 years old and just signed with the Raiders in late April. The former third-round pick leaves the WR3 spot up for grabs on the Raiders, so it is worth monitoring which wide receiver stands out the most during training camp.

Matthew Stafford reporting to camp, adjusting contract
Los Angeles Rams QB Matthew Stafford will officially report to camp and is coming to terms on a restructured contract with the front office, says head coach Sean McVay.

Fantasy Impact

McVay said that the manner in which both parties reached an agreement was “healthy,” a key as Stafford still has three years left on his four-year deal. The veteran QB had a resurgent campaign in 2023 (3,965-24-11) but had an issue with his deal, which had limited guarantees beyond the 2024 season, per Adam Schefter of ESPN. Stafford is 36 but showed he still has a high level of play left in him and has a current ADP of QB19. Details of the new deal are not yet known, but Stafford likely has at least one more season in Los Angeles.

Alvin Kamara reports to training camp
New Orleans Saints RB Alvin Kamara has reported to the team’s training camp.

Fantasy Impact

Kamara exited practice at the end of minicamp as a pseudo-protest related to his contract. The veteran RB’s contract “essentially [treats 2025 as] a dummy year,” per Kevin Patra of NFL.com, and he is looking for more long-term stability in his deal. However, he does not seem interested in holding out. The situation remains worth monitoring in the event of a hold-in, but Kamara will likely not miss any time in 2024 and can be treated as the team’s RB1 going forward. His half-PPR ADP is RB17, according to FantasyPros data.
