Hollywood Brown drawing praise from Patrick Mahomes
Hollywood Brown continues to be building a rapport with Patrick Mahomes early in training camp.

Fantasy Impact

“No one told me like how much (Brown) can actually do on the football field,” Mahomes said. “He can run those over-the-middle routes. He can run really good routes- and he can run deep. It’s not like ‘fast’ is the only thing that he can do.” The reports out of camp regarding the connection Brown and Mahomes have developed have all been positive. It will be worth monitoring to see if the NFL hands Rashee Rice a suspension. That would only increase the value and upside of Brown early in the season.

Jahmyr Gibbs cleared for team drills Saturday
Jahmyr Gibbs was cleared to participate in team drills and got his first 11-on-11 action of training camp on Saturday.

Fantasy Impact

Gibbs is expected to have an even bigger season this year. He has received individual reps with receivers early in camp and worked with Amon-Ra St. Brown. “He’s kind of a ton better at that too, you can see he’s been working on it,” quarterback Jared Goff said. “He really has. His hands and his route running has improved pretty significantly, and I know we plan to use him in a lot of ways.” After showing flashes of what he’s capable of as a rookie last year, Gibbs appears to be in line for an even bigger role.

Deneric Prince has been the second running back in for four straight practices for the Chiefs.

Fantasy Impact

Prince continues to see the reps behind Isiah Pacheco in the Chiefs backfield. This will remain a situation to monitor as it appears Prince may have passed Clyde Edwards-Helaire on the depth chart as of now.
