Jonathan Mingo ‘continuing to impress’ in camp
Jonathan Mingo reportedly had another big day at practice on Monday.

Fantasy Impact

Mingo recently drew praise from coach Dave Canales, and he was targeted often at practice on Monday. He continues to have a big training camp as he looks to take a step forward for the Panthers.

Garrett Wilson taking reps in the slot
Garrett Wilson is taking reps in the slot in minicamp, per reports. Wilson took approximately 27% of his snaps in the slot last year on his way to averaging 61.3 yards per game with less-than-ideal quarterback play.

Fantasy Impact

Wilson’s continued versatility in the Jets offense indicates the strong role he will have in the 2024 season. With Aaron Rodgers back, Wilson’s ceiling will skyrocket. Currently, the 24-year-old wideout is a low-end WR1, but assuming the Jets can utilize him properly, he could end up cracking the top five.

Miles Sanders works with first team
Miles Sanders has been getting early first-team reps in practice for Carolina on Monday.

Fantasy Impact

At this point in the preseason, it’s not surprising Sanders is getting first-team reps. The new coaching staff is trying to figure out how to best utilize their players, and Sanders may be called upon to start should Jonathon Brooks be unavailable to start the season and Chuba Hubbard suffer an injury. Chuba seems to be the favorite to be the RB2 in Carolina behind Brooks given his success over Sanders in 2023, with Sanders likely fighting for the No.3 spot on the depth chart.

Bucky Irving fitting well in new scheme
Bucky Irving is fitting well within Tampa Bay’s running scheme.

Fantasy Impact

Irving was taken in the fourth round of the 2024 NFL Draft, and it appears that his role is looking promising for this season. The team is pleased with how well he fits into their new running scheme, and he seems to be trending towards being a regular part of the rotation this year. That could be bad news for Chase Edmonds, who failed to do much of anything last year.
