Fantasy Football News & Rumors

Check out the latest news and notes around the NFL.

Najee Harris unsure about role heading into season
Najee Harris told reporters the Steelers told him they were declining his fifth-year option because “they didn’t know which direction the offense is headed.”

Fantasy Impact

This puts the role for Harris this season in question a bit. Jaylen Warren figures to maintain his role in the Steelers backfield, and there have been some rumors of Cordarrelle Patterson potentially mixing in as well. This will be a situation to monitor throughout the rest of training camp.

Greg Dulcich standing out early in training camp
Greg Dulcich was one of the players who stood out on the first day of Broncos training camp.

Fantasy Impact

According to Stevens, Dulcich had a 15-yard catch from Bo Nix in 7-on-7 drills and then exploded downfield after a catch from Jarrett Stidham in team. His role throughout camp will be one to continue to monitor.

Christian McCaffrey: Kyle Shanahan has plan set to help preserve RB in camp
Christian McCaffrey did not take part in team drills at practice on Wednesday, part of a plan set by Kyle Shanahan.

Fantasy Impact

It was part of a plan set by Shanahan to help preserve McCaffrey during this camp. He was still on the field for individual work. It appears the 49ers won’t work McCaffrey too hard overall throughout training camp.

Parris Campbell the early front-runner to be WR3 in Philadelphia
Parris Campbell started as the WR3 with the Eagles first-team offense on Wednesday.

Fantasy Impact

Campbell had some hype during his time with the Colts, but could never take that next step. He signed a one-year deal with the Eagles in the offseason where it appears he could be an immediate starter in 3-WR sets. He is still unlikely to be fantasy relevant to start the season with the majority of the touches and targets going to Saquon Barkley, A.J. Brown, DeVonta Smith and Dallas Goedert. He could be a player to monitor though in deeper leagues.
