Chase Claypool injured at practice Sunday
Chase Claypool suffered some kind of a leg injury at Buffalo’s practice on Sunday.
Fantasy Impact
Claypool came down hard on one of his legs during practice and was not able to return to action. The severity of it is unknown right now, but we will presumably learn more over the next day or two. Any missed time could hinder his chance to carve out a role for himself on Buffalo’s roster.

DeMario Douglas dealing with minor hand injury
DeMario Douglas said a minor hand injury is keeping him out of team periods.
Fantasy Impact
The Patriots are playing it safe with Douglas who’ll likely enter the season as the top target in the offense. It doesn’t appear to be a concern at all.

Theo Johnson activated from PUP, practicing Sunday
The New York Giants have activated rookie TE Theo Johnson (hip flexor) off of the physically unable to perform (PUP) list. He will practice on Sunday.
Fantasy Impact
Johnson was drafted in the fourth round likely under the assumption that Darren Waller was not returning in 2024. Given Waller’s retirement, the rookie out of Penn State could fill a similar role as an athletic tight end. However, Johnson still has plenty of room to develop as an NFL player and could use this time now that he is off of the PUP to learn before the season begins. He will likely play behind TE Daniel Bellinger early in the season but will probably have a role in the offense given his athletic traits.
