T.J. Hockenson (knee) starting on PUP list, ‘ahead of schedule’
Vikings coach Kevin O’Connell said T.J. Hockenson will begin training camp on the PUP list, but added that he is “well ahead of schedule” with his rehab from ACL surgery.

Fantasy Impact

Hockenson was expected to open training camp on the PUP list after tearing his ACL late last season. What was unknown was what his timetable looks like, and he is ahead of schedule according to O’Connell. His status will continue to be worth monitoring over the next few weeks. Josh Oliver and Robert Tonyan will compete for first-team reps while Hockenson is sidelined.

Joe Mixon remains absent from practice, expected to be fine
Texans coach DeMeco Ryans said Joe Mixon “will be fine” despite him missing the past few days of practice.

Fantasy Impact

It isn’t clear why Mixon hasn’t been practicing so it’s worth monitoring, but it’s too early to be worried. Cam Akers made his debut at practice on Monday after signing with Houston on Sunday.
