Jones is continuing to work his way back from an ACL tear, and it appears his rehab is going well. He’ll enter training camp healthy in what figures to be a prove-it year for him.

Ricky Pearsall placed on NFI list
The 49ers have placed rookie Ricky Pearsall on the non-football injury list.

Fantasy Impact

Pearsall is now on the NFI list, which comes as a surprise given that we haven’t heard anything about him being injured prior to this transaction. It’s unclear when he is expected to make his return to training camp, but we should receive more information about his recovery timeline over the next few days. If his injury is anything more than a day-to-day issue, that could make San Francisco less likely to deal Brandon Aiyuk, who officially requested a trade from the team on Tuesday.

Theo Johnson placed on PUP list
The Giants have placed rookie Theo Johnson on the physically unable to perform list.

Fantasy Impact

Johnson is dealing with some kind of an injury that will leave him on the PUP list heading into training camp. It’s unclear what the timeline is for his recovery, but he is eligible to be activated at any point. This won’t mean much for fantasy purposes if he’s back sooner rather than later.
