Live Fantasy Football Discord AMA with Pat Fitzmaurice

Pat Fitzmaurice: Hey @everyone. Live chat starting now in the Pat Fitzmaurice AMA channel. See you there!

Picking seventh in 12-team full PPR. Would you ever consider Jahmyr Gibbs over Ja’Marr Chase or amon Ra St. Brown?

Pat Fitzmaurice: No sir. After David Montgomery returned from his injury in Week 10 and the usage of the two Detroit RBs stabilized, Gibbs averaged 11.0 carries and 2.9 catches a game. I think that’s pretty close to what his role will be this year. He’s an awesome player, but to me, that’s not first-round usage.

Do I go CeeDee Lamb or Tyreek Hill at pick NO. 2 overall?

Pat Fitzmaurice: Oh man. I have Tyreek ranked WR1. I think he’s the best bet to finish as the top scorer at the position. But I just drafted Lamb ahead of him in a draft where I had the 1.02 simply because I also love De’Von Achane and Jaylen Waddle, and I thought those two might be in play for me at the 2/3 turn in a 14-team draft.

ave a potential offer of receiving DK Metcalf for a projected 2025 late first. I have four projected mid to late 1sts.

Pat Fitzmaurice: If you’re a contender, it’s worth doing. If you’re in a rebuild, I’d probably hang on to the pick (but it still wouldn’t be a bad deal if you pulled the trigger).

12 team PPR with two flex AND a super flex – how soon are you looking for a QB2 for the super flex, if at all?

Pat Fitzmaurice: Really depends on how the draft falls, Brian. Sometimes, I’ll let it slide as late as the 7th/8th. I think my firewall would be someone like Will Levis, who’s my QB21.
