MLB Hitters
- #3 OF James Wood (Nationals):
-
-
- Season (AAA): .308/.471/.308 | 17.3 BB% / 18.2 K%| 26 XBH, 10 HR, 10 SB
- This Week: 7/27 | 2 XBH, 1 HR, 1 SB
- Notes: Wood had a nice first week netting his first homer, steal and he has six RBI through six games.
-
- #97 SS Brooks Lee (Twins)
-
-
- Season (AAA): .329/.394/.635 | 9.6 K%, 13.8 BB% | 12 XBH, 7 HR, 1 SB
- This Week: 7/17, 2 XBH, 1 HR, 0 SB (4 games)
- Notes: Lee isn’t hitting the ball very hard, but he is barreling it at a 14.3% rate so far with a very good showing through four games with well above average contact rates.
-
MLB Pitchers
- N/A
AAA Hitters
- #71 C Edgar Quero (White Sox):
-
-
- Season: .275/.360/.463 | 8.9 BB% / 16.8 K%| 24 XBH, 12 HR, 1 SB
- This Week: 5/13 | 2 XBH, 1 HR, 0 SB
- Notes: Quero was promoted to AAA this week and hit a homer in his first AAA game.
-
- #78 Jonatan Clase (Mariners):
-
-
- Season: .277/.380/.489 | 14.5 BB% / 26.2 K%| 25 XBH, 10 HR, 26 SB
- This Week: 7/25 | 3 XBH, 3 HR, 3 SB (4 games)
- Notes: Clase had a solid week with three homers and three steals and with Julio Rodriguez getting dinged up and the offense struggling, it’s possible he’s back up with the big league club sooner rather than later.
-
- #95 2B/3B Thomas Saggesse (Cardinals)
-
-
- Season: .247/.303/.407 | 5.2 BB% / 22.8 K%| 26 XBH, 9 HR, 6 SB
- This Week: 14/30 | 4 XBH, 1 HR, 1 SB
- Notes: Saggesse had a huge week, which he needed after a lackluster follow up to his killer 2023 season.
-
- #117 SS Jacob Wilson (Athletics)
-
-
- Season: .197/.232/.273 | 4.3 BB% / 23.6 K%| 2 XBH, 1 HR, 7 SB
- This Week: 11/23 | 7 XBH, 2 HR, 0 SB
- Notes: Wilson was a first rounder last year and has gotten the bump to AAA after decimating AA pitchers. He’s been a doubles machine, it almost looks like he’s been at batting practice since the draft because he’s been generating so many hits. He’s been hitting almost .450 between AA and AAA in more than 160 PAs, which is insane.
-
- #120. OF Deyvison De Los Santos (Diamondbacks)
-
-
- Season (AAA): .296/.339/.611 | 5.2 BB% / 24.1 K%| 26 XBH, 12 HR, 0 SB
- This Week: 7/28 | 4 XBH, 3 HR, 0 SB
- Notes: A 13 RBI and three homer week is becoming just another week for De Los Santos at this point. He has 26 homers and 79 RBI on the season in total between AA and AAA.
-
AAA Pitchers
- SP Chayce McDermott (Orioles)
-
-
- Season: 33 IP | 15.4 K-BB%, 13.9 SwStr% | 3.00 ERA, 1.48 WHIP
- This Week: 7 1/3 IP | 12 Ks, 6 BBs | 6.14 ERA, 1.50 WHIP
- Notes: McDermott had his best start of the season on Monday and his worst start on Saturday (4 ER in 1/3 IP)
-
- SP River Ryan (Dodgers)
-
-
- Season: 11 1/3 IP | 20 K-BB%, 15.8 SwStr% | 2.38 ERA, 1.06 WHIP
- This Week: 4 IP | 4 Ks, 1 BBs | 0.00 ERA, 0.75 WHIP
- Notes: Ryan is building himself up right now and there’s a good chance the next time the Dodgers need a starter, Ryan gets the call once he gets built up to five innings.
-
- SP Yilber Diaz (Diamondbacks)
-
-
- Season (AAA): 22 IP | 20.9 K-BB%, 12.9 SwStr% | 3.27 ERA, 1.23 WHIP
- This Week: 6 IP | 13 Ks, 2 BBs | 0.00 ERA, 0.33 WHIP
- Notes: Diaz has only made four starts in AAA and of course you can’t expect a great ERA considering he’s pitching in the PCL.
-
AA Hitters
- #24 SS Carson Williams (Rays):
-
-
- Season: .277/.373/.522 | 9.7 BB% / 16.1 K%| 32 XBH, 13 HR, 22 SB
- This Week: 5/21 (6 BBs) | 2 XBH, 2 HR, 2 SB
- Notes: Williams has regressed back toward his normal and is still pacing for a 25/40 season in the minors.
-
- #32 OF Spencer Jones (Yankees):
-
-
- Season: .242/.315/.395 | 10 BB% / 37.2 K%| 25 XBH, 10 HR, 18 SB
- This Week: 7/29 | 5 XBH, 3 HR, 1 SB
- Notes: Jones is hitting well thus far and showing some great plate skills, but hasn’t gotten into any power yet in his young season. However, he did go 3-4 with a homer Sunday while I was writing this.
-
- #82 3B/OF Sterlin Thompson (Rockies):
-
-
- Season: .250/.327/.364 | 10.2 BB% / 30.6 K%| 23 XBH, 8 HR, 7 SB
- This Week: 8/23 | 3 XBH, 2 HR, 1 SB
- Notes: Thompson has generally been a doubles machine, but his two extra base hits this week were both triples.
-
AA Pitchers
- #37 SP Robby Snelling (Padres):
-
-
- Season: 66 IP | 9.1 K-BB%, 10.3 SwStr% | 6.14 ERA, 1.64 WHIP
- This Week: 5 IP | 7 Ks, 2 BBs | 1.80 ERA, 1.40 WHIP
- Notes: This is the type of start we saw from Snelling last year regularly and it’s important to keep in mind he’s still very young for AA.
-
- #49 SP Jacob Misiorowski (Padres):
-
-
- Season: 66 2/3 IP | 17 K-BB%, 14.4 SwStr% | 3.38 ERA, 1.28 WHIP
- This Week: 6 1/3 IP | 10 Ks, 2 BBs | 1.42 ERA, 0.63 WHIP
- Notes: Misiorowski had his best start of the season this last week. Good to see him get Ks and go deep at the same time.
-
- #74 SP Caden Dana (Angels):
-
-
- Season: 90 1/3 IP | 18.2 K-BB%, 12.5 SwStr% | 2.99 ERA, 1.03 WHIP
- This Week: 6 IP | 9 Ks, 1 BBs | 1.50 ERA, 0.83 WHIP
- Notes: Dana had a great bounceback off his worst start of the season last week.
-
- #93 Zebby Matthews (Twins):
-
-
- Season (AA): 52 1/3 IP | 28.2 K-BB%, 15.1 SwStr% | 1.89 ERA, 0.73 WHIP
- This Week: 6 IP | 6 Ks, 0 BBs | 0.00 ERA, 0.63 WHIP
- Notes: Matthews continues rolling with another 0 walk performance.
-
- SP Mason Adams (White Sox)
-
-
- Season: 86 1/3 IP | 21.4 K-BB%, 12.1 SwStr% | 2.19 ERA, 1.01 WHIP
- This Week: 6 IP | 9 Ks, 1 BBs | 3.00 ERA, 1.17 WHIP
- Notes: Mason Adams is the hidden gem of the White Sox baller AA rotation, but sooner or later, he’s going to jump out as the star within.
-
- SP Brandon Sproat (Mets)
-
-
- Season (AA): 48 1/3 IP | 22.5 K-BB%, 15.2 SwStr% | 2.05 ERA, 0.87 WHIP
- This Week: 6 2/3 IP | 9 Ks, 1 BBs | 2.70 ERA, 0.75 WHIP
- Notes: Sproat has a killer fastball as the second rounder from last year is having a big season.
-
- SP Andrew Morris (Twins):
-
-
- Season (AA): 38 1/3 IP | 20.7 K-BB%, 10.3 SwStr% | 1.17 ERA, 0.89 WHIP
- This Week: 6 1/3 IP | 9 Ks, 3 BBs | 0.00 ERA, 0.95 WHIP
- Notes: Morris has not been nearly as good since being promoted to AA, but is starting to adapt the last few weeks.
-
- SP Bubba Chandler (Pirates)
-
-
- Season: 61 2/3 IP | 21.5 K-BB%, 13.3 SwStr% | 3.65 ERA, 1.04 WHIP
- This Week: 7 2/3 IP | 7 Ks, 0 BBs | 0.00 ERA, 0.26 WHIP
- Notes: Chandler is on a roll with three fantastic consecutive starts.
-
- SP Brandon Birdsell (Cubs)
-
-
- Season: 74 1/3 IP | 16.9 K-BB%, 13.2 SwStr% | 3.63 ERA, 1.16 WHIP
- This Week: 7 IP | 9 Ks, 0 BBs | 1.29 ERA, 0.14 WHIP
- Notes: Birdsell is a high command guy, basically your poor man’s Zebby Matthews statistically and just had his best start.
-
- SP Emiliano Teodo (Rangers)
-
-
- Season: 68 1/3 IP | 19.9 K-BB%, 17.1 SwStr% | 1.71 ERA, 1.13 WHIP
- This Week: 5 2/3 IP | 7 Ks, 2 BBs | 0.00 ERA, 0.71 WHIP
- Notes: Ridiculous swinging strike rates at every level, Teodo’s issue is control and he could be a high variance starter with a good number of Ks or he could end up a stud high leverage pen guy.
-
- SP Brandyn Garcia (Mariners)
-
-
- Season (A+): 68 1/3 IP | 20.5 K-BB%, 15.1 SwStr% | 1.84 ERA, 1.20 WHIP
- This Week: 5 IP | 8 Ks, 2 BBs | 0.00 ERA, 0.40 WHIP
- Notes: Garcia was finally promoted after killing it in high A as a 24-year-old and is a fast mover as an 11th round college guy
-
A+ Hitters
- #98 2B / SS Brayden Taylor (Rays)
-
-
- Season: .285/.399/.539 | 15.8 BB% / 24.5 K%| 40 XBH, 12 HR, 21 SB
- This Week: 6/21 | 6 XBH, 2 HR, 1 SB
- Notes: Why is Taylor still in high A when he’s an advanced college hitter with 40 XBH at the level now.
-
- #135 2B Termarr Johnson (Pirates):
-
-
- Season: .244/.397/.396 | 17.7 BB% / 22.4 K%| 22 XBH, 9 HR, 14 SB
- This Week: 11/26 | 3 XBH, 2 HR, 2 SB
- Notes: Johnson made the minor league all star game, more based on his name value than actual performance.
-
A+ Pitchers
- #69 SP Chase Dollander (Rockies):
-
-
- Season: 67 IP | 26.6 K-BB%, 18.2 SwStr% | 2.82 ERA, 1.25 WHIP
- This Week: 5 IP | 10 Ks, 1 BBs | 6.75 ERA, 0.75 WHIP
- Notes: Dollander has been so good, it’s insane that he’s still in high A after how good he has been.
-
- #72 SP Jaden Hamm (Tigers):
-
-
- Season: 66 2/3 IP | 26.2 K-BB%, 15.4 SwStr% | 2.16 ERA, 0.98 WHIP
- This Week: 5 IP | 7 Ks, 0 BBs | 1.13 ERA, 0.88 WHIP
- Notes: Hamm was a fifth round pick, however he has been absolutely dominant throughout his entire minor league career and should be highlighted as a riser.
-
- SP Ben Kudrna (Royals):
-
-
- Season: 63 IP | 15 K-BB%, 13.6 SwStr% | 3.14 ERA, 1.14 WHIP
- This Week: 6 IP | 9 Ks, 0 BBs | 0.00 ERA, 0.50 WHIP
- Notes: I had figured Kudrna would have moved through the system faster this year based on being a repeat at high A, but it’s possible we see him jump up at the break.
-
- SP Jonah Tong (Mets):
-
-
- Season: 47 2/3 IP | 19.5 K-BB%, 14 SwStr% | 3.02 ERA, 1.22 WHIP
- This Week: 5 IP | 7 Ks, 2 BBs | 0.00 ERA, 0.60 WHIP
- Notes: Tong had another nice start this week and only gave up one hit this week.
-
- SP Jean Cabrera (Phillies)
-
-
- Season (A+): 77 IP | 21 K-BB%, 15.7 SwStr% | 3.39 ERA, 1.09 WHIP
- This Week: 6 IP | 10 Ks, 1 BBs | 0.00 ERA, 0.17 WHIP (0 hits)
- Notes: Cabrera makes this list again after what was his second best start of the season; with 14 Ks a couple weeks ago.
-
- SP Kohl Drake (Rangers)
-
-
- Season (A): 43 IP | 36.9 K-BB%, 16.5 SwStr% | 1.67 ERA, 0.95 WHIP
- This Week: 6 IP | 9 Ks, 0 BBs | 0.00 ERA, 1.00 WHIP
- Notes: This was only Drake’s second start in high A after starting the season in low A where he completely dominated as he should being a second year college guy.
-
- SP K.C. Hunt (Brewers)
-
-
- Season (A+): 34 1/3 IP | 31.1 K-BB%, 18.4 SwStr% | 2.62 ERA, 0.96 WHIP
- This Week: 5 1/3 IP | 10 Ks, 2 BBs | 0.00 ERA, 0.56 WHIP (1 hit)
- Notes: Hunt is a pop-up guy who completely dominated all season at low A and high A.
-
A Hitters
- #10 OF Walker Jenkins (Twins):
-
-
- Season: .250/.373/.357 | 16.7 BB%, 12.7 K% | 5 XBH, 2 HR, 3 SB (23 games)
- This Week: 5/17 | 0 XBH, 0 HR, 3 SB (7 walks)
- Notes: I saw Jenkins in person Saturday night where he was 1 / 2 with two walks. The plate skills and hit tool are both legit and I wonder if he still has some lingering injury effects, because he was at DH when I saw him.
-
- #27 OF Max Clark (Tigers):
-
-
- Season: .281/.382/.400 | 14.5 BB% / 17.1 K%| 16 XBH, 6 HR, 24 SB
- This Week: 9/21 | 3 XBH, 2 HR, 2 SB
- Notes: Clark keeps putting up some solid all around numbers and I’ve been especially impressed by his plate skills.
-
- #144 SS Leodalis De Vries (Padres)
-
-
- Season: .229/.347/.391 | 12.7 BB% / 25.8 K%| 20 XBH, 4 HR, 8 SB
- This Week: 12/26 | 5 XBH, 3 HR, 3 SB
- Notes: De Vries has super high upside across the board and is a five-tool talent, but at 17-years-old is way above his age-to-level. He hit a homer from each side of the plate as a switch hitter in one game this week. He’s been a bit of a doubles machine.
-
- SS Arjun Nimala (Blue Jays)
-
-
- Season: .204/.314/.387 | 11.9 BB% / 30.2 K%| 14 XBH, 4 HR, 4 SB
- This Week: 8/22 | 5 XBH, 0 HR, 0 SB
- Notes: Nimala is back up in A ball and had a nice week with three doubles and two triples. More importantly he had 4 walks and only 3 strikeouts this week.
-
- OF Aidan Smith (Mariners)
-
-
- Season: .271/.389/.447 | 14.6 BB% / 24.9 K%| 31 XBH, 8 HR, 24 SB
- This Week: 10/27 | 3 XBH, 0 HR, 2 SB
- Prime Skills: Another nice week for Aidan Smith with three doubles and two steals.
-
A Pitchers
- N/A
CPX Hitters
- OF Yeremi Cabrera (Rangers)
-
-
- Season: .308/.452/.642 | 20 BB%, 21.9 K% | 20 XBH, 9 HR, 13 SB
- This Week: 8/15 | 5 XBH, 1 HR, 2 SB (4 games
- Notes: Cabrera keeps on rolling as one of the five most impressive players in complex league this season.
-
- OF Yassel Soler (Diamondbacks)
-
-
- Season: .314/.372/.494 | 7.9 BB%, 18.8 K% | 19 XBH, 5 HR, 5 SB
- This Week: 8/18 | 3 XBH, 2 HR, 1 SB
- Notes: Soler has been very impressive as a top 10-20 complex league prospect and had a nice power week.
-
- C Eduardo Tait (Phillies)
-
-
- Season: .301/.368/.493 | 7.6 BB%, 15.2 K% | 17 XBH, 5 HR, 3 SB
- This Week: 6/10 | 2 XBH, 0 HR, 1 SB
- Notes: Tait went 6/10 this week with a couple doubles.
-
- SS Abrahan Ramirez (Yankees)
-
-
- Season: .381/.483/.563 | 16.4 BB%, 13.2 K% | 17 XBH, 2 HR, 6 SB
- This Week: 7/24 | 4 XBH, 0 HR, 0 SB
- Notes: Ramirez has shown one of the best hit tools in complex league, hitting for a killer average in Florida (which is tougher than Arizona due to sea level depth) and the doubles power this week was doubly impressive.
-
CPX Pitchers
- SP Nelfy Ynfante (Cardinals)
-
-
- Season: 40 IP | 22.9 K-BB%, 24 SwStr% | 2.70 ERA, 1.23 WHIP
- This Week: 5 IP | 7 Ks, 1 BBs | 1.80 ERA, 1.00 WHIP
- Notes:
