Sorare MLB: Journey to All Star

One of the most exciting ways to enjoy the MLB fantasy experience, Sorare gamifies card collecting in a fantasy baseball setting. How does it work? Collect cards (buy, sell, and trade), compete with them (fantasy baseball and collection game), and win rewards (cards, cash, VIP experiences, and more). Sorare has undergone a facelift for the 2024 season, so be sure to give yourself some time before the new Game Week starts to familiarize yourself with the new interface. For more information, check out our overview here.

Sorare x MLB – The Next Era is Yours

Sorare: MLB Journey to All-Star

Sorare: Journey to All-Star is a pair of competitions that offers Sorare managers the opportunity to win a trip to the 2024 MLB All-Star game. In addition to the VIP packages to the best of MLB All-Star weekend, there will also be regular season tickets, Sorare cards, and a total of $20,000 in cash prizes up for grabs.

VIP Packages

VIP packages have you intrigued? Good. Sorare will be offering five VIP packages for All-Star weekend. In addition to the All-Star game, winners will also get one ticket to the MLB Play Ball Park (one for each day), the MLB Futures Game, the MLB All-Star Game, the Home Run Derby, and either the ASG or Derby on-field practice. There are five single ticket packages available that come with a $1,000 travel credit/voucher.

There are two ways to enter the draw. The All-Star Collection Event and the June Chase.

All-Star Collection Event

The Collection game on Sorare rewards you for assembling collections of your favorite MLB teams and players. Each card you collect boosts your collection score. For this event specifically, managers will seek to achieve the target collection score for one or more teams. Each team collection that meets the score threshold grants you one entry.

All managers will start with one entry, making every successful collection increase your potential chances to win. Collections from any scarcity (excluding Common) and season (2022, 2023, 2024) are eligible. Managers must maintain their collection(s) through the end of the competition at 12 PM on June 24th. Managers can monitor their score in the Sorare MLB lobby and see the full reward breakdown here.

Target scores:
Limited: 150
Rare: 150
Super Rare: 75
Unique: 75

June Chase

The second Chase event is drawing closer. For those who may have missed out last month, the Chase event is a multi Game Week event that runs through the final four Game Weeks of the season. This month, the winner of each scarcity will receive once-in-a-lifetime experiences courtesy of Sorare.

Limited: $1000 + VIP Package to 2024 MLB All-Star Game
Rare: $1200 + VIP Package to 2024 MLB All-Star Game
Super Rare: $2000 + VIP Package to 2024 MLB All-Star Game
Unique: $3000 + VIP Package to 2024 MLB All-Star Game

We will dive deeper into the Chase event next week, but here is an early look at some of our potential targets.

Luis Gil (P – NYY): April/May splits are cause for concern, but was dominant enough in May to consider adding after a shaky start dropped his market value
Tanner Houck (P – BOS): Houck has been Cy Young worthy to this point of the season and figures to be in a three player race with Tarik Skubal and Gil for most of the season but checks in with a significantly lower market value due to a slightly lower but still elite strikeout rate
Shota Imanaga (P – CHC): Not quite the value of Houck due to more hype coming into season, but still a dominant pitcher whose market value is lower than it will be
Maikel Garcia (3B/SS – KC): Streaky hitter who flashed some pop recently to go with his roster-worthy speed on the base paths
Brice Turang (2B/SS – MIL): Speaking about speed demons on the base paths, Turang is second in the league with 23 stolen bases and is hitting .296 after hitting just .218 in 404 2023 at-bats
Teoscar Hernandez (OF – LAD): Surging hitter who is peaking at the right time for this competition; someone to target in auction market
