George Pickens getting reps in the slot
George Pickens said he’ll be playing more in the slot this year than any other year in his NFL career.

Pickens is getting more reps in the slot early in camp. “I like working in the slot just as much as I like working as an outside receiver,” he said. “It puts me on linebackers, put me on safeties.” Pickens is a popular breakout candidate from a fantasy football perspective this season with Russell Wilson and Justin Fields now in the quarterback room for the Steelers.

Sam Darnold to be Vikings’ QB1 entering training camp
Vikings coach Kevin O’Connell said that Sam Darnold will be the Vikings’ No. 1 QB entering training camp.

O’Connell added that he first two weeks of camp will be “competitive” for many positions, so nothing is written in stone. This is expected to be a competition throughout camp between Darnold and JJ McCarthy.

Derrick Henry expected to maintain big workload
Ravens head coach John Harbaugh said he expects Derrick Henry to maintain a big workload.

“We do,” Harbaugh said on whether he thinks Derrick Henry can maintain the same workload Henry saw in Tennessee. “I mean, I watched the wear and tear that he put on defenses – and ours included – over the years… I can’t wait to see him in action.” Even if the volume does take a step back for Henry, his efficiency should take a step forward sharing the backfield with Lamar Jackson to go along with more attempts at the goal line on a better offense.
