Yesterday’s slate was strange with almost every game during the day, and we have something similar here. The major difference is that we have many different start times, so we’ll include everything but the one-morning game and the Sunday Night matchup. That still leaves us with plenty of options to talk about and one of the most interesting pitching pools we’ve had all year.
With that said, let’s look at this Sunday MLB slate! Here are our top MLB DFS picks and player prop bet picks for today’s slate of games.

Sunday’s MLB DFS & Player Props Picks
Sunday’s Starting Pitcher Rankings
Tarik Skubal (DET) vs. MIL
Skubal is the frontrunner for AL Cy Young, establishing himself as the best lefty in the league. The southpaw has scored at least 34 FanDuel points in all but one start, generating a 1.97 ERA, 0.88 WHIP, and 10.6 K/9 rate. A matchup with Milwaukee is scary on the surface, but they rank 19th in K rate and have some holes at the bottom of their lineup. That’s why they’re not even projected to score four runs!
Grayson Rodriguez (BAL) at TB
G-Rod got off to a slow start this season, but this former top prospect is rolling right now. The right-hander has allowed two or fewer runs in eight of his 10 starts, recording a 2.36 ERA, 1.18 WHIP, and 9.8 K/9 rate if you remove his one stinker against LA. He’s also scored at least 32 FanDuel points in five straight starts and shouldn’t have any issues against Tampa. The Rays rank 24th in K rate and 28th in xwOBA!
Bailey Ober (MIN) at PIT
Ober has been all over the map this season, but he’s been awesome if you take out some stinkers against KC. If you remove those two ugly showings, Ober has a 3.23 ERA, 0.92 WHIP, and 8.9 K/9 rate. That is the stud we saw through most of last season and a matchup with Pittsburgh’s pitiful lineup should keep him on the right path. The Pirates rank 23rd in runs scored, 26th in K rate, and 28th in wOBA.
MLB DFS Picks: Suggested Lineup Stacks
The Guardians have been one of the biggest surprises in baseball, with their offense ranked second in runs scored and eighth in OBP. That’s scary since most of their bats thrive against southpaws, which is bad news for Rogers and his 5.68 ERA and 1.75 WHIP.
St. Louis Cardinals (vs. Ty Blach)
The Rockies have the worst ERA and WHIP in baseball, with Blach being another black hole in this rotation. The lefty has a 5.39 ERA and 1.51 WHIP since signing with Colorado three years ago. We also love that since St. Louis is starting to get hot, scoring at least four runs in five of their last seven fixtures.
MLB DFS Picks: Core Studs
- Ramirez is always one of the frontrunners for AL MVP, and he’s definitely at the top of the list with the way he’s playing. The third baseman is up to 17 homers, 47 runs scored, 60 RBI, and nine steals, providing a .408 OBP and 1.156 OPS across his last 28 games. He’s also been much better against lefties, posting a .395 OBP and 1.006 OPS against them.
- We had Devers here yesterday, and we’re going right back to him for all the same reasons. The slugger has a .364 OBP and 1.082 OPS across his last 21 games while generating a 1.056 OPS against righties this year. That should continue against Chris Flexen, with the righty collecting a 5.19 ERA and 1.34 WHIP.
- Bregman was a nightmare through the opening two months, but he’s starting to get hot. The former All-Star has a .424 OBP and 1.392 OPS across his last nine outings. He’s also been much better against lefties, totaling a .371 OBP and .863 OPS against them throughout his career. Facing Patrick Sabdoval’s 5.00 ERA and 1.43 WHIP is far from concerning, especially since AB has a .600 OBP and 1.600 OPS in 15 at-bats against him.
- Goldy has not been performing up to expectations, but it’s just a matter of time before he gets cruising. The All-Star is flirting with a .400 career OBP and .900 OPS while posting even better splits against lefties. That’s scary for Ty Blach because Goldy has a 1.034 OPS against him throughout their careers.
MLB DFS Picks: Value Plays/Punts
- There’s no doubt that Arenado has struggled this season, but a revenge game against a lousy pitcher could get him back on track. This guy has a .369 OBP and .942 OPS against lefties and is starting to turn his season around. Arenado’s BvP numbers against Blach are beautiful, providing a .579 OBP and 1.421 OPS in 19 at-bats against his former teammate.
- It’s hard to overlook what Fry is doing. He’s been moved up to fourth and fifth in this bludgeoning Cleveland lineup, compiling a .473 OBP and 1.075 OPS this year. Those are unsustainable averages, but they look even better since he has a .575 OBP and 1.375 OPS against left-handers!
- Jazz has finally stayed healthy for the opening two months of the season, totaling eight homers and 11 steals. This guy is a genuine threat to have a 30-30 season, and he could add to those numbers against Carlos Carrasco. The veteran has a 6.39 ERA and 1.60 WHIP since the start of last season, with Jazz generating a .849 OPS against righties in that same span.
- Tovar is the Rockies best young player, and he should be able to succeed in such a tasty matchup. Let’s start there because Andre Pallante has a 6.16 ERA and 1.79 WHIP. We love that when looking at Tovar’s numbers, totaling a .297 AVG and .806 OPS against righties this year. He’s also got a .922 OPS across his last 22 games, which doesn’t even include a two-homer game on Saturday!
Sunday’s Top 3 Underdog Fantasy and PrizePicks Player Props
With Ober pitching much better recently, he shouldn’t have any issues slowing down one of the worst offenses in baseball. The righty has completed at least 15 outs in 10 of his last 11 starts!
Bryse Wilson: 3.5 Strikeouts – Higher
Wilson has quietly had a great year for the Brewers, recording a 3.35 ERA and 1.23 WHIP. He’s also picked up at least six Ks in three of his last seven starts and only needs four to clear this total. It’s much more likely against Detroit, with the Tigers ranked 23rd in K rate and 25th in wOBA.
Jose Ramirez: 1.5 Total Bases – Higher
We had this prop in here yesterday, and J-Ram cleared it in the first inning.
