Fantasy Baseball FAAB Waiver Wire Pickups: Week 13
Jacob Stallings was picked up in 47 leagues with a maximum bid of $29 and a minimum bid of $1. With Elias Diaz out with an injury, Stallings becomes the main catcher in Colorado, who has seven games at home this week. Other than that, he is a low-end C2.
Drew Thorpe was another pitching prospect who was called up this week, being picked up in 44 leagues with a maximum bid of $116 and a minimum bid of $2. Thorpe is a really interesting arm who had a nice debut and then got destroyed in his second start. He has a lot of upside but if he struggles with control and being too hittable the upside disappears, especially on the White Sox.
Chad Green was picked up in 43 leagues with a maximum bid of $60 and a minimum bid of $3. Yimi Garcia is dealing with an injury and Green is likely the next man up for saves in Toronto.
Ryne Stanek has also been the main closer in Seattle recently which is why he was picked up in 37 leagues with a maximum bid of $261 and a minimum bid of $1. Stanek may not be the main closer once Andres Munoz is fully over his back issue, but for now, he is and should be treated as such for the time being.
